"Unlike Samsung's AMOLEDs, the V30's screen does show some illumination in the blacks....V30 posts high marks for contrast, out of reach for most LCDs, yet falling short of Samsung's finest....V30's color rendition degrades quite noticeably when viewed at an angle - it gets even bluer. We haven't observed this with recent Samsungs."
So as you can see, it's more than just white balance of the display. While it's still way better than LCDs it may be unfortunately inferior to Samsung's LEDs.

HOWEVER, there is hope - these were all pre-production samples so let's see if LG has found a fix for the retail units. May be that's why they're taking forever to launch the phone outside Korea?? (But then again, there are reports that Korean customers have complained about the same display issue)
I like the V30 and in many ways even prefer it to Note8 but if the screen is flawed it will be a deal-breaker for me...I'm OCD about displays and can't live with shoddy quality

I was really hoping for LG to continue with the removable battery. Why would they stop? now I will not upgrade my V20 for no reason other than there was a nicer phone out.
Time to start the hunt for a suitable phone again.

This phone is awesome. with the new features added in camera like the cine log and stuff, I'll be looking forward in buying this phone. have to wait until it gets cheaper. Too expensive for me in the initial release .
