LG V30 lives through scratch, bend and burn tests
Smartphone boogeyman JerryRigEverything got his hands on an LG V30 and put it through his own version of the Salem witch trials – he scratched, bent and burned it.
The Gorilla Glass 5 front scratches at a Mohs level 6 or 7, which is to be expected from this toughened glass. It protects the entire front (including the selfie camera) and the grilles of the stereo speakers are metal. The V30 is already earning solid points on durability.
Just about everything on the side of the phone is made of hard metal (save for the antenna bands, but that is by necessity). This rigid metal passed the bend test with ease.

A good phone on its won. There is no reason why LG paid Zack/JerryRigEverything earlier for a favorable review.
