LG should give an update to Android 11 to both V40 ThinQ and G7 ThinQ when they now stop making new mobiles. As a farewell gift.

Guys, read the specs. It did state that this phone has an input of 18 watt right? Then get an 18 watt power brick. A little reading can solve your confusion.

And please be careful about hi-impedance mode.because output power will increase significantly and may damage your headphone or your ears.make sure you lower phone volume level output before you use it.

Xba n1ap, 20 Mar 2021I use lg g7 and sony wh xb900n with wired connection i get ... morethanks for reply Xba n1ap, i have lg g7 too,few more questions.as you know lg quad-dac has three output power mode depending on impedance load at jack output.
1- up to 49 ohm normal output around 0.6 v if i am not mistaken
2- 50 to 600 ohm - hi-impedance mode 2v
3- over 600 ohm - aux or external device mode 1v
sony says 50 ohm when wh xb900n connected with wire with headphone power turned on.after hi-imp activated power can be turned down on sony.So can you confirm that that is the method you use.if so hifi status must show hi-impedance mode

I want to tell you guys something, overall this phone is amazing, yeah i know the battery is not that good like other phone, but, for this price? I think is a fair trade-off, i want to tell you guys that in this GSMarena and LG official website, LG V40 ThinQ is listed that its support quick charge 3.0, but after i see in Qualcomm website, this phone support quick charge 4+, you can see that document here: https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list , and now.. idk which one is true, is this phone support QC 3.0 or QC 4+ ...
And i will tell you my experience with this phone because i already have this phone for 1 month, but keep in mind that i buy a second hand phone.
- First, i notice that the fingerprint sensor is having a hard time to scan my fingerprint, it say that the sensor need to be cleaned, i done it, i already clean it, but the sensor still have a hard time to scan my fingerprint, personally i don't mind with this, because i don't use fingerprint sensor that much.
-Second, if you ask the performance for playing game, i will say its good, the performance is good and the heat is normal for me, let just say for genshin impact, because so many people play this game today... i play genshin impact in my room for around 30 minute, and the phone is warm, is not hot like you touch a fire, i ask my friend who is in the same room with me (Because he have a hot phone if he play genshin impact, so i think he can measure my phone temperature), and he say that my phone is warm, not hot, and he say that this phone have a good airflow.
-Third, sometime my phone have a sudden freeze when i switch apps, lets say switch from zoom to chrome, but, the freeze is not that long, is just a few second, maybe 2 or 3 second, and i think its because i switch apps too quickly, or my device is too hot so the phone try to balance the performance and heat, (You know, zoom, open camera for like 30 minute and your device is ready to cook an egg)
So far only this three problem that i found since i buy this phone, for battery maybe i think its OK for just browsing or scrolling in social media, but i will appreciate if there are more like 30minute-1hour extra time to use this phone, and for gaming? It depend on what game do you play, for genshin it will drain fast, but for other light game, i think its normal, 3 to 4 hours maybe?
AND THIS IS THE BEST PART, the most favorite feature that i love in this phone is the gaming center, while in game, you can adjust the resolution and frame rate, so it give you more flexible way to control your battery life and performance for your game, you can setting it to low, medium and high, for frame rate you get 60fps if you setting it high, 30 for medium, and around 24 for low, for resolution, i think high is 1440p which is default resolution, medium 1080p, and low 720p.
Not just that, this game tool have another feature called "Take a Break" Which is you can activated manually or automatically (5minute away from game), this "Take a Break" feature is adjusting the performance and brightness while still playing the game in the screen, so its not freezing or stopping the game, which is i think a very useful feature for someone that very forgetful like me... Or, it very useful for a game that require a lot of farm and have a auto farm feature, you can just turn on auto farm, and turn on take a break feature, and you can save your battery while your game still playing, nice right?
So far that is my impression for this phone, if you ask me, will i recommend this to friend? i will answer, yes, as long as my friend is don't mind with the battery...
Thank you for your time for reading this, and sorry for my bad English

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2021yeah this phone need 4300Mah battery at least with these... moreThe V40 is a great phone, but battery backup is not so good. The display controller IC used on this phones have some issues and consumes a lot of battery power even during standby. So battery drain in high and you can barely make it through a day with dual 4G enabled under moderate usage.
