IP68 is a great feature. FAST Wireless Charging is a great feature. I'm happy that smartphones have such features. I ask : Is anyone smart and intelligent enough in today's world to integrate User Replaceable Batteries with said features ? Are there any devices in existence that have or have come close to achieving this ? Are there toothbrushes that have this ? Are there underwater cameras (video/point-n-shoot) that have this ? Are there cordless power tools that have this (lawnmowers even) ? Are there flashlights that have this ? Are there water RC toys that have this ? Are there power banks that have this ? Are there watches and e-Bikes... C'mon. If we stop and work together, I think (just a guess) ...all things are possible. That includes an IP68/Wireless Charging/User Replaceable Smartphone. But remember, the goal isn't that smartphone, it's working together.

I am still using LG V20. The removable battery is so liberating; no worries about battery life with a spare small enuough to carry around. Phone makers should relook into this - I can do without the water resistance for the removable battery.

I like everything that I am reading about the new LG V50 except the inability to replace the battery. I purchased an LG V20 several years ago specifically because it had a replaceable battery. When the battery in the V20 failed, as all batteries do, I was able to purchase replacement batteries and extend the life of the phone. At present, I have no intentions of obtaining a phone that does not have a replaceable battery. As such, the V50 is NOT the phone for me.

Still snappy, still smooth with Nova Launcher Prime, and the camera quality (as long as you download GCam) is pretty good. It's just that OEMs just want you to get a new phone every year now. I'd love a new OEM to give us vanilla Android, perfect hardware, removable battery, and decent enough updates. Guarantee you, that brand would steal LG, Sony, and OnePlus fans in a heartbeat.

The desire to have user replaceable batteries, headphone ports (separate from charging port), expandable storage and screens with no obstruction whatsoever will always be around and never go extinct. The same goes for affordable prices. If you want consumers to embrace notches and holepunches... start putting them on TV screens and movie theater screens first. If you want headphone ports to disappear... stop the manufacturing of wired headphones first. If you want expandable storage to be "obsolete" ...start making affordable smartphones with Terabyte capacities and test to see how consumers react. Change is inevitable. The issue is who benefits from said change and more importantly, who loses. It seems ridiculous to conceive such notions, doesn't it ? I went crazy and insane when user replaceable batteries were no longer available in flagship tier smartphones. I kept wanting and looking month after month, year after year and the "results" have not changed. I still can't find a flagship tier smartphone with user replaceable batteries. So go ahead and 'Tech Smack' me with your replies... if you do, you prove you're just as crazy as me.

Notch alert. Brands are going for a total bezel-less design, or going for either a waterdrop notch or a cutout notch.
LG, like HTC are always behind and are always losing market because they don't follow the trend. Much like Sony now.
Look how big of an impact oneplus phones have nowadays.
