This is why lg fails. Mediocre camera n battery. 12mp for rear n 8 mp front cam? Come u stupid lg. At least 20 mp and 16 mp front cam. Increase battery. It has to catch consumers attention. V30 was almost perfect phone except the stupid 5mp front cam.

It depends on the way you use the handset and the optimisation of the chipset, operating system and how much draw apps from the battery. So if you use Instagram and tons of background apps of course the battery won't last a day.

I have the u11 for two years now, never reset to factory, no root just using it. It's the best phone I ever had. Battery last enough for my needs, which is 1 day, i have a car that I drive to work, so I got a charger all the time.
I always compare with other phones, especially I enjoy taking a Galaxy s9 or s9+, or lg G6/7 and show the owner how shitty they perform lag wise. On the U11 there is never any lag. Ever.
Yes, it has bezels, the battery is far from amazing, it has just 1 camera on the back, no wireless charging, not ip68, but for me it has the selling features I need.
FAST, Lag free, awesome camera, great touch responsive display, it's not very large and not very heavy which is great.
I really want to buy a new phone, for months now, because i broke the back glass, and battery is now not very good, USB port is getting quirky, and I just want a newer phone. I would get the u12+ in a moment, but they are saying the screen is even less bright then u11.
I live in the middle East, i need a bright screen.
Now I am looking for a solution...
I am afraid of Samsung and LG phones, root issues, region lock, lag after just a few months of usage. With Samsung they said (users, reviewers etc...) That lags are history, but after 4-5 months, I see it just works like crap. I even played with s9+ and did not enjoy the touch experience, it was not very smooth and not responsive. I also dislike those curved edges on Galaxy phones.
Oneplus is ruled out on behalf of camera, xiaomi no thanks, Huawei I also don't really like.
I would get a pixel 3 if it didn't have 4g ram....
So i am here looking at v50 and g8 thinq, but i am not confident about the performance i will get.
I had g2 g3 and g4, g2 was awesome, but yellow stripes on screen and touch issues, g3 dead motherboard, g4 dead motherboard (had warranty though)
Bleh. Someone please make a perfect phone already....

3 camera, normal, tele and wide. All should have ois, auto-focus. Focus peek in photo/video modes, and maybe allow for smooth progressive focus changes in video mode.

I don't care about where the fingerprint sensor is, and don't care if there is headphones jack or not, and don't care for IR blaster.
I would prefer the screen is just like Nexus 5. Flat, with a little edge, which allowed me to install screen protector in a perfect manner.
The only phone on the horizon that might check all my requirements, is Sony Xperia 1

incredible, they want to come up with rear fingerprint even in V50 and G8.
Thats was the only nonchinese alternative to Samsung.. V30 was so good in its generation.
Acceptable brands:
Samsung - golden standard, bloated, rootable, always all features
Oneplus - easy rootable, some powerful specs but missing core features
Xiaomi - spyware and bloated, very good compromise between Samsung and Oneplus, difficult permission to root
Unacceptable brands:
LG - fingerprint in the back
Huawei - spyware, unrootable
Vivo, Oppo, Doodgie - who?
Irrelevant brands:
Sony, Moto, HTC, Nokia

I still find it bizarre that LG goes for this bad QHD resolution. Both UHD and FHD movies look worse on a QHD screen than they do on a FHD screen because it does not match pixel for pixel like FHD/UHD does and dithering/blurring is needed to stretch the video image. There are basically no movies filmed at QHD.

Pixel 3 100% uses IMX363 while 345 is used by S9 (if i remember)... so u name better one.
