The truth is that, LG is trying all it's best to recover from its fall.

The phone seems a good device and with the dual screen it's a good buy. I only wonder how the battery will last when it has to power both screens. 5000mah is a big battery but still, when it needs to power both screens... but there's also the G8x with dual screen which is cheaper.

HyperDrive, 28 Feb 2020Wat is the thinking behind the downgrade of the display PPI... moreBro why do you care about ppi
Anything above 330 looks the same
Battery life is the real concern and I'm happy they downgraded because QHD has little difference with FHD in terms of sharpness

Why do people care so much about QHD when even Apple use FHD+ and HD+ instead

Maybe relax on the ppi and take the extra battery life as a blessing, no?

This, or Sony Xperia 1 II ?
It's a tough choice out there.

The rear camera looks like a Galaxy S10. Did this phone imitate the design?

                            Amateur Wizard, 28 Feb 2020What I would consider a real phone is few and far between t... morea real phone just need these 2 functions actually;
1- to make calls and send msgs.
                            2. to receive calls and msgs.

Alternatively, heavy phone users shld be more concerned of battery life and connection/processing speeds, the other functions are extras.

U won't need to use NFC every single time, nor poke in and out of the 3.5 jack or insert or remove storage cards so extensively.

What I would consider a real phone is few and far between these days. A NFC chip, wireless charging, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a USB type-c port and a microSD card slot. This phone checked of all those boxes

I remember back in the day when everyone was complaining about LG G3/G4/G5/G6 using QHD screens because of battery concerns. Two huge screens demand more power. I don't like the idea but understand why LG decided to downgrade resolution.

HyperDrive, 28 Feb 2020Wat is the thinking behind the downgrade of the display PPI... moreI own LG V50S and when dualscreen attached, the battery runs fast.
I can understand the reason LG put FHD Resolution on this too, because the 5000mAh battery has to feed not one, but TWO power hungry 6.8" screen!
                                      So that's that.

Having said that, I do think you can see the difference bettween QHD and FHD screen while reading tiny text, for example this GSM Arena site.

I put side to side my LG V35 and V50S (which I just bought yesterday), and I rightly can see the sharpness and blackness of the characters. The ones on V50S looks dull compared to my V35, and my eyes used to QHD screen already!

But the brilliant Dual screen makes up for the shortcoming and I happily trade QHD screen for unique experience and sufficient battery lifes
