I bought this phone three years ago. The battery life doesn't last as long as it once did -- obviously, and I wish it was replaceable. This aside, this has got to be the "best" phone that I've used, and I've been through a lot. I love the fact that it has a damn headphone jack. I love the fact that it has a port for expandable memory/storage. I definitely appreciate the built-in DAC, as well.

Phones these days are very homogenized in their design with not many if any appreciable differences between them.

I was careless at one point and dropped mine and since the phone has a glass back, it obviously shattered but I still use it. I love a good metal exterior (think HTC's m8) and I hope I can find a phone with all of these features whenever I do decide to replace this one. I might just end up getting the same phone refurbished.

I agreed with most users' opinions about the good of LG V60 except the implementation of PD2.0/type C USB charging/data transfer on this cellphone, very unstable. Charging with most of my power banks/AC adapters were all impossible without adding/attaching extra electronics to fool the LG V60. Bought 4 used LG V60 on eBay, 2 AT&T and 2 T-Mobile LG V60s to replace LG V35s unlocked.

Battery life is good, I shot 40 minutes of 4K60 video with screen at max brightness, it only took 36% battery lol. The update was 1275MB. It downloaded way faster than the previous android 12 update, despite being only half the file size. The phone was slow and laggy for 10 minutes after updating, then it was faster than android 12. Some apps have new permissions that are needed in android 13. Musicolet needs Music & Audio permission. After shooting 18.55GB of video, I've had no issues and I'd even say the phone is faster to exit a performance heavy app. Usually that would be a mildly janky experience in android 12. Thermals seem good, phone was warm but not hot after 40 minutes of 4K60.

There are lots of stories about it happening with the V60. As for power consumption, it doesn't use much power as the main screen resolution bumps down to 1080p when using the Dual Screen case.

what's wrong with the usb c connector? i thought pogo pin draw more power than usb c for the dual screen case. does v50 also have desktop mode?

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2023the idea of multitasking using 2 screens just too exciting ... moreIFKR! It's much more practical than foldable screen phones since it doesn't have to suffer from screen splitting incompatibility, which still happens on a lot of apps like Instagram and Netflix. You can independently use two different apps on both screens without any problem. You can even set different audio level between the two apps regardless on the phone speaker or a wired headset or even a wireless earbuds.

Mine's a V50. I'm not going for the V50s since the Dual Screen case for it doesn't rely on pogo pin, unlike the V50.

Sony comes close with the Xperia 1, but there's no built-in DAC, custom Desktop Mode, and active stylus support. Even the detachable Dual Screen case is a practical masterpiece. I sold off my Samsung Galaxy Fold for my LG V50 because of the Dual Screen case, and I never looked back. I don't even regret or miss my old Fold. Even with the five generations of Samsung's foldable screen smartphones, alongside its clones, I still don't see it being any better than a dual display solution.
