If the model of LG Velvet you have 'VM' is a USA version, 'Verizon' then it is unlikely you will be able to unlock or update it. I believe USA versions of cell phones cannot be 'updated' etc outside of the USA.

And while most might disagree, I love how their pull down menu didn't change and still kept the old school one. I find the newer version so ugly with their oversized oval buttons. Like they were made for disabled users who can't press an onscreen button.

YUKI93, 08 May 2023If you mainly care about having the best SoC and camera, go... moreI've had two side buttons fall out. Did you or anyone you know, happen to have a similar case and managed to put replacement buttons back without opening up the phone?
It's the screen shot buttons btw (power and volume down) and noticed that just a bit of their latches on the side were either missing or torn off.
It's the price to pay for 3 years of screen shotting and using the power button despite having the double tap to wake functionality. 😅

I can't remember when my lg velvet 5g (AT&T Variant) received the software update to android version 13, but I remember being somewhat disappointed in noticing that seemingly not much had really changed (at least as far as I'm aware of) from android version 12.
