MediaTek set to introduce new Dimensity chips on December 23
MediaTek has announced it will introduce a "new generation of Dimensity chips" in China on December 23 at 3 PM local time. The Taiwanese semiconductor company didn't reveal the name of the chips it will announce the following Monday, but we expect one of them to be the Dimensity 8400 SoC.
There is no word from MediaTek about the Dimensity 8400 SoC, but leakster Digital Chat Station said the Dimensity 8400 would be a 4nm chip with a 1+3+4 architecture. It will use the Immortalis-G720 MC7 GPU and is said to have scored over 1.8 million points in AnTuTu benchmarks.
The Redmi Turbo 4 that surfaced recently is rumored to be among the first smartphones to use the Dimensity 8400 SoC.

A little sad about the GPU, its upgrade is much smaller than I expected, I estimate the increase will be 20%, while from Dimensity 8200 to 8300 it was almost 80%

No and it's optional on G720 and included in Immortalis. It's same cluster but minimum number of clusters for it to have Immortalis branding is as stated. According to ARM it's 15% performance over G715 and up to 40% reduction in memor...

It looks like DCS has "invented" another supposed leak as he does not have any real information to convey He states the 8400 will use Arm A725 cortex 4nm fabrication. The clock speed I accept can be underclocked if that were the o...
