MediaTek Dimensity 9200 with Cortex-X3 core coming next month
Last year MediaTek released the first chipset based on TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process and was one of the first to make use of ARM's high-performance Cortex-X2 core. And since November is right around the corner, it's only logical to expect the company to release its next-generation flagship chipset.
According to trustworthy tipster, MediaTek is preparing to release the Dimensity 9200 SoC next month with ARM's Cortex-X3 at the helm, which promises 25% performance gains over its predecessor.
The new Immortalis G715 GPU is also expected to make an appearance, further boosting performance. The SoC will still be based on TSMC's 4nm manufacturing node and will likely use the same Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 cores as before.
The Dimensity 9200 is expected to arrive much sooner than its predecessor in various phones from vivo and Oppo as soon as December 2022.
