MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC to have 30% better single-core CPU performance vs. 9300
The MediaTek vs. Qualcomm battle in the top of the line mobile chipset space will be more interesting than ever later this year when the former's Dimensity 9400 and the latter's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be released.
Today a new rumor from Digital Chat Station on Weibo sheds some light on what we can expect from the Dimensity 9400, and it's good news. Apparently its single-core CPU performance will be about 30% better than it was in the Dimensity 9300 launched last year, which, we have to mention, was absolutely no slouch either.
The large core reportedly only needs 30% of the power consumption of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's CPU to accomplish the same tasks, because energy efficiency has been greatly improved too. The Dimensity 9400 is 35% more efficient than its predecessor.
All in all, it looks like this is shaping up to be a winner for MediaTek, and will definitely allow it to continue competing head-on with Qualcomm at the absolute highest end of the market.
