Akshay24, 30 Apr 2020A solution to your software problems: Download the Meizu's... moreFew questions:

1) Does the Chinese rom run on Android Oreo?
2) What additional features does the Chinese rom brings over international variant?

    A solution to your software problems:
    Download the Meizu's Chinese Firmware which is stable and awesome
    Install it on your phone, there are zero issues.
    You just need to install the Google Apps on your own.
    I have been using my phone running on Chinese ROM for a few months now and did not have a single issue so far.
    I also get OTA updates frequently.

    The only downside is you have a few pre-installed apps in your phone, of which most you can remove; remaining you can move and store them in a folder.

        Hey,will this phone get android 9,flyme 8?

          Walter C. Dornez, 30 Jul 2018I mean, LG has always been fantastic at making battery opti... moreIn reality I have owned both LG G7 & Meizu 16th (Meizu 16 in China). It is of no doubt that 16th is the better phone of the two as not only does it have better battery backup but it is better over G7 in every aspect you can think of barring only the overall software experience & audio quality over the headphone jack.

          While 16th have overall better aesthetics and premium feel over G7, the tables turn otherwise when we speak about software. LG has overall better software experience than Meizu's Flyme OS, in terms of feel, overall richness & features. However both phones have same fluid and effortless feel in the software.

          In the end I sold the G7 last year, as I already had a LG V30.

                  RishiGuru, 11 Mar 2020I cannot confirm the 18 watts wall charger bundled with Ind... morethanks, most probably it doesnt use QC 3.0 as you said it need to pay loyalty to Qualcomm, this is now my daily driver, I got it used and has no included charger that come with it, what I want is a faster charger than 5v2a charging, hope I can get 1 in Philippines, best if 24w but 18w will be good, before I have problem with its compass pointing off direction but seems it works with navigation and I can live with it, also it slower in locking to gps too, but I like its perfect size than my smaller and big phones, battery a bit short too as it has only 3000mah,

                    DongV, 11 Mar 2020thanks, so bundled is an 18w charger but not QC 3.0 charger... moreI cannot confirm the 18 watts wall charger bundled with Indian retail unit of Meizu 16th have Qualcomm QC or Meizu's propitiatory mCharge technology.

                    However comparing the charging speeds of my QC3 enabled Nokia 6.1 with Meizu 16th, the Meizu is slightly faster. Both comes with identical 3000 mAh battery.

                        DongV, 10 Mar 2020May I ask what is the output of your bundled factory 18w ch... moreIndian units are bundled with a 18 watts charger. I found the wall charger output rating as follows:

                        5V/2A = 10 watts
                        9V/2A = 18 watts
                        12V/1.5A = 18 watts

                        This charger is a fast charger for sure but I am not convinced if we are getting the Meizu mCharge technology with this. mCharge is not mentioned anywhere be it product manual or in the official Meizu website. It may very well be a Qualcomm QC 3.0 or even a QC 2.0 charger. However I have no qualms and the charger does rapid charge the phone.

                        And just because Meizu 16th comes with SD845 does not mean it has default support for QC3 or QC4. Meizu has to pay licensing fees to Qualcomm for QC enabling in the SoC.

                            DongV, 10 Mar 2020about 1.5 hrs from 20%That's good enough charging speed if the phone is switched on while charging. Do not rapid charge phone batteries as lithium battery does not like rapid charge and reduce battery lifespan.

                            Most of all these software apps are grossly inaccurate in measuring actual amperes and voltages drawn by the phone. You need to have proper ampere meter USB hardware which will take the charger male USB pin on one side and phone female USB pin on other side to monitor actual power drawn. A QC3 charger is good enough for Meizu 16th.

                            In my case the factory supplied 18 watts charger was able to fully topup the battery from 0 to 100 in 1.5 hours while switched off. I bet it would have taken even longer if the phone was switched on, maybe 1 hour 45 mins. So your case of 20 to 100 in 1.5 hours is fully justifiable.

Battery was completely drained to 0% and charging was performed with phone switched off & bundled 18 watts wall charger connected. Below are the results:

                                    0 to 20% -> 602 mAh -> 15 mins
                                    0 to 25% -> 753 mAh -> 18 mins
                                    0 to 45% -> 1355 mAh -> 30 mins
                                    0 to 50% -> 1505 mAh -> 33 mins
                                    0 to 68% -> 2047 mAh -> 45 mins
                                    0 to 75% -> 2258 mAh -> 52 mins
                                    0 to 82% -> 2468 mAh -> 60 mins
                                    0 to 90% -> 2709 mAh -> 69 mins -> 1 hr 9 mins
                                    0 to 93% -> 2799 mAh -> 75 mins -> 1 hr 15 mins
                                    0 to 96% -> 2890 mAh -> 80 mins -> 1 hr 20 mins
                                    0 to 99% -> 2980 mAh -> 90 mins -> 1 hr 30 mins
                                    0 to 100% -> 3010 mAh -> 94 mins -> 1 hr 34 mins

                                    The outcome points speeds that are slightly faster than QC 3.0. My Nokia 6.1 is QC 3.0 certified and the battery size is almost identical at 3,060 mAh. The 16th is every so slightly faster than 6.1. However it cannot keep pace with my LG V30+ which is also a QC 3.0 certified device, and this time the V30+ is ever so slightly faster than 16th. This can be due to a very advanced Qnovo QNI battery charging tech that LG uses on their flagship devices.

                                    During Meizu 16th launch event in India, Meizu stated mCharge technology & 30 mins of charge will get us 67% of battery. However this figure was achieved using their 24 watts rated charger in a controlled lab environment. In real environment GizmoChina reported a much less 56% charge with the same 24 wattts charger under 30 mins. In India we get an even slower 18 watts wall charger with which the phone can reach 45% charge under 30 mins.
