Hate 18:9 format.
I have a 2 year old Asus Zenfone 3 ultra on 6,8 inch in the old nice 16:9 format.
For around 4 month ago i buy Samsung note 8 WTF, first time i use this new nasty 18:9 format, could not hit the letters on the keyboard grrrr, so one week after i sold it and took up my good old asus for use again.
I really dont like the small width on the new format.
Now im waiting for a xiaomi mi max 3 6,9 inch, still in the new 18:9 format, but still 0,6 inch bigger then the sammy note 8.
So i really hope this mobile, will come in my favorite format, but when i look at the specs with hight, width etc. it looks like the 18:9 format (y)

Duki, 30 Jul 2018You are wrong, the only reason why 18:9 exists, is that aft... morewrong about what? asking longer and narrower display? you are ridiculous. besides, this phone gonna be more impractical if it use 16:9.

Jimmy Hopkins, 27 Jul 20181440 x 2560? why not 18:9? let's hope this is not final ... moreYou are wrong, the only reason why 18:9 exists, is that after Samsung S7, they were under pressure (like always) to present a new model S8, with (always expected) bigger diagonal, and they realised they cannot go more in width, so "Voila! we have a solution", bigger diagonal with extended length. But, comfort of using and screen size are objectively limited by it's shortest side, length can compensate that in theory, but in reality they built narrower screens, diagonal is not long enough. When you type on keyboard, it is very clear that you will have hard time typing on narrower screen, as for example 5.6" diagonal, screen 18:9 screen has the same width as... only 5" of 16:9! No article in popular media is telling you that keyboard on your new phone is as small as on the phone you had in 2015, and number of letters and words of the same size in a row is like on some old 5" phone. What's more, two phones with the same diagonal, but different aspect ratio have different surface size, 16:9 has bigger surface than 18:9, no one is telling you that too, you gain practically nothing by extending length. There are very few advantages of "taller" screen, but more disadvantages. To achieve same width that 6" 16:9 has, you need to have 6.7" 18:9, and that is practically the same in comfort of using as 6", but it is simply too big, it sticks out of any pocket, not to mention difficulty of reaching those options on the top of screen.

No card slot. Why? What is the actual cost of featuring a card slot? Give us options. I do not understand this nonsense.

Daniel7iao, 26 Jul 201816:9 screen? I'm still waiting for the official specs thoi think its a mistake there, it will be for sure 18:9 amoled display(hope still notchless like we seen on pic renders before), i think meizu 15 and 15 plus was last 16:9 models.. anyway hope they will keep 3,5mm jack and stereo speakers and bring back the NFC to their new flagship meizu 16 plus
