1) Heavy Usage: An hour of gaming (Asphalt 9) at high settings, Data always on, 3 hours of web browsing & social media, 1 hour of calls - Lasts for one typical day with 1% battery left.

2) Moderate Usage: Data always on, 3 hours of web browsing & social media, 1 hour of calls - Lasts for a one and a half days with 5% battery left.

3) Light Usage: Data on when required, 2 hours of web browsing & social media, 1 hour of calls -> Lasts for a two days with 5% battery left.

Meizu always had a slightly different approach to smartphones but history reveals that being different doesn't always pay off. Their design philosophy has always been from outside-in i.e. to design the phone first, finalize the camera & peripherals placements and lastly fit the biggest battery possible in the place left inside the phone. This resulted in smaller batteries than its competitors. Examples are Meizu flagships 15, 16th, 16s & 16s Pro. Very few consumers understand this philosophy or even value this.

What truly consumers understand are specs on paper, flagship Soc, big battery, higher megapixel camera, etc. These are practical requirements and their is nothing wrong about it. So this time after huge management shakeup from Meizu's side they adapted the universal industry proven formula i.e. to design a phone inside out. The result is Meizu 16T. They have taken a big battery, a flagship grade SoC, slap in some high mega pixel sensors and then clam in all these hardware in a cheap plastic body. What consumers will see is a big battery & high specs and immediately go for this phone. Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo & RealMe have proven this to the right formula and now Meizu is following them.

Again their is nothing wrong in this approach of proving high specs at a cheap price. However count out built quality & excellent thermal managements from from this formula as the later two costs. That's why Meizu 16th was expensive when launched & Meith 16T was moderately priced when launched. Nothing is free in this world.

On the contrary the global version of FlymeOS with inbuilt support for Google Play services is just rock solid. All my 60 apps runs smoothly. Just no software updates and no new features.

Not saying Flyme OS is bad, on the contrary I love the minimalist look and feel of the OS. Its just that their are almost no software updates once you buy the phone. My Meizu 16th (Meizu 16 in China) came with Flyme OS 7 on top of Android Oreo and I know it will stay like that forever. Meizu 16T is not globally released hence no global ROM version with pre-installed Google play services are available.

However, leaving aside the software part I love my Meizu 16th. 16T does not have the flagship grade CNC machined metal/ glass construction & thermal management of 16th or 16s. Instead Meizu 16T body is made of plastic, but I cannot complain as this is true value for money product. 16T is more like Xiaomi Poco F1.

Now I also know you don't believe a word others say on their opinion posts and always ask for the source where they have come to know about it. Wonder why you are even posting comments here as you don't need any help.

My previous post which caused such an uproar was not just intended for you but others also. It was to make the buying decision easier for non-pro's like us.

Got a purple 16T yesterday. It is nice looking and feels light and comfortable in the hand. The screen is large and vibrant. I particularly like the 18.5 aspect ratio. Performance is also good (as expected given the SD855). The only really problematic part is the software. There is no global rom (yet) for this phone. It was easy to install google services and google play on Flyme 8.0A but some apps do not work (Like HBO).

Meizu seems to be dearly in love with number 16 and naming all their midrange, upper mid-range and flagships with that number. This creates a lot of confusion in consumers mind.

                                To clear the confusion:

                                1) Flagships: 16/16th, 16 Plus/ 16th Plus, 16s, 16s Pro

                                2) Value Flagship: 16T

                                3) Mid-range: 16X, 16Xs

Flagships comes with flagship grade build quality, CNC machined metal chassis construction covered with glass front and back.

Meizu 16T and Meizu 16Xs comes with cheap plastic body to save cost and that's why the price is so lucrative in comparison to 16s and 16s Pro. This information is authentic as I have read from many translated Chinese tech websites. Poco F1 created this concept of providing flagship specs in cheap plastic body at rock bottom price. This formula was a success. Meizu is following suite.

I personally own an Meizu 16/16th and very happy with it.
