unfortunate to see Meizu succumb and cave in to the ridiculous 20:9 "giraffe phone" phenomenon. another one bites the dust.
if they made another 18:9 (or dare I still hope 16:9?!) edition my money would instantly go their way.

And moving parts aren't the problem, as you've never seen anyone complaining about a poorly functioning pop up camera apart from the awfully designed A80's mechanism.
The reason it's dead is because of people like you who don't realize there's nothing wrong with moving parts on phones, (We have moving parts in hundreds of our daily appliances, none of them break) in addition to the lazy engineers who find it easier to copy trends than to develop legitimate solutions to the hole in the display problem.

Under-display cameras are not good enough currently. Adding a second display is a good thing but it is a little expensive. The punch hole is the best solution currently.
