VivaEmptiness, 05 Apr 2023Where is Essebre and 3,5mm jack?(My Meizu 16 (Meizu 16th in India) is nearly 4 years old and works just fine. One of the finest piece of flagship grade engineering marvel at bargain basement price.
Even with a big 6 inch no-notch display, the phone is so compact and slim. The design aesthetics surpass anything from other Chinese manufacturers.
The other thing I like about this phone is its potent audio capabilities. It is the last Meizu flagship which arrived with an audio jack with great audio quality. The Qualcomm's best flagship audio processor Aqstic WCD9341 delivers here at full potential with Meizu's own signature audio tuning. Listening with quality headphones like SoundMagic E80C will make your jaw drop in terms of audio fidelity. It is right up there with LG's QuadDAC in terms of sonic fidelity. It justs lack a bit to ESS QuadDACs in terms of outright power to drive very high impedance headphones which people seldom use.
Regarding the stereo speakers of Meizu 16th, they are of high quality with crisp clear sound. This is due to the implementation of two Cirrus Logic CS35L41 mono audio amplifier chips, one for each speaker. These CS35L41 are expensive solution with built in DSP to modify & amplify the audio signal from Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9341 audio codec so as to sound crisp, clear and detailed.

I bought a meizu m6 last 2017 and i'm still using it right now....this brand has an awesome quality and durability - imagine 6 years and i am still using the phone even it already fell so many times...the thing i may suggest is for them to add IR blaster to increase utility.
