Meizu 21 specs officially confirmed ahead of November 30 announcement

Vlad, 24 November 2023

Earlier this week Meizu officially announced the launch event for the 21. It will take place on November 30 in China, and ahead of that, the company has now confirmed some of the 21's specs.

For example, the 6.55-inch OLED screen provided by Samsung. This comes with "1.5K" resolution, SGS low blue light certification, and 1,920Hz high frequency PWM dimming. The screen is flanked by symmetrical 1.74mm bezels on all sides.

The Meizu 21 is also confirmed to have a 4,800 mAh battery, which, when paired with the energy efficient screen, the (also confirmed) Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and Meizu's OneMind 10.5 AI engine, will be able to achieve endurance that would normally require 5,100 mAh of capacity or more.

Meizu says the 21 lasted 8.2 hours in its (undetailed) extreme endurance testing, while an unnamed competitor with a 5,100 mAh battery only managed 7.4 hours in the same test. According to the 21's earlier 3C certification, it will have support for 80W fast wired charging.

Just like the punch hole. It's a sidegrade.

I was referring to punch-hole (like on the Meizu 21) vs selfie cam in a top bezel (like the one found on e.g. Meizu 16s). Curved screen is a sidegrade imo, either you like it or you don't, I wouldn't call either a better option.

You have failed.
