I bought the Meizu M2 Note on the frist day of release in India
here are my findings
Pros:
Excellent battery back up - doesn't drain out
Good front camera - justifies 5 MP
Excellent color reproduction - movies or pics
Impressive home button - simple and efficient
Cons
Volume - Either through the M HD earphones or Audio Technica ATH M50s, the volume is not up to a normal level.
Volume shuts down by 50% when enlarging the music player to full screen and only regains only volume after a reboot.(It could be a defective handset)
Volume rocker control behaves strangely while playing media through MX player.
Bad 13 MP Camera - The shutter speed is set so low to bring photos brighter, you have to have a steady hand to click pictures without blurring the image. Lot of noise level in less bright room or outdoor. My Xiaomi 8MP beats its easily. You can only shoot best pictures (LARGE) in 4:3 , yeah, thats right. It lets you shoot in 16:9 in SMALL mode only.
Flyme OS: You cant do any customization apart from changing wallpapers. Go to "Theme" and it will tell you "Only Chinese, english coming soon" - EXIT OR CONTINUE.
There is a touch of lagging experience, its not so bad but there are smoother phones in the market which have lesser memory and processor.
Day 1 - bought(paid extra for single day delivery)
Day 2 - recieved
After 6 hours - Ready to return it to the seller.

How come CDMA sim will work. Guys check before buying. Now days everywhere GSM is popular and mobile companies are launching only gsm mobiles.
Note: This mobile does not support CDMA.

Hello friends, i want to know about the sound/quality of this phone ,both with and without headphones,inside the ear while playing music.I am an audiophile,i like htc & their boom sound audio,but they are too costly,so is this phone good for music lovers ??? and are there any service centre in India ???

Here is the solution, i copy here.(i couldn't try it, because i don't have m2 note yet, but if u try this please send me answer if it work, because i want to buy this phone.):
Hi, so one of the things that has been annoying me with the M2 is the volume output, which is very low IMO, so got hands on and improved the audio quality, if you are interested in this, you will need to root you device, guide below:
1 - Root your device: settings > accounts > my flyme > select account > scroll down to 'system privileges' and check it.
2 - Install SuperSU from the Play Store
3 - Install BusyBox from the Play Store
4 - Run BusyBox and select "Install"
5 - Restart your device
6 - Download Viper4Android here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/cnqqdme51qy9ft4/ViPER4Android_FX_v2340.zip
7 - Extract the zip file and copy "ViPER4Android_FX_A4.x.apk" to your device
8 - On you device install and run "ViPER4Android"
9 - When driver installation prompted, choose Yes.
10 - V4A auto detects your CPU and show available driver modes, select "Super Audio Quality"
11 - After installation done, Reboot device.
Once you device finishes rebooting, open "ViPER4Android" and enable the following for the Headset tab:
- V4A-FX
- PlaybackAGC
After this play some music/video and press volume down and then up again, now the maximum will be LOUDER =) still not as much as I would like, but a lot better =)

gerry, 09 Aug 2015can you run virtual reality in this phone ? i'm looking bud... moreI think the requirements could be such as accelerometer and gyroscope sensor and the phone must be in range of 4-5.5 inch. According to the specs, it is compatible with VR. :-)
