Dear friend,
The KitKat update is sure for mediatek octa core and quad core processor phones. but I think canvas 2 will not get the update. For above described phones will get the update from April to June.
Yet this is not 100%. please follow the website regarding to updates. www.micromaxcanvas.co.in

For using TVout option.
1. Buy a mhl adapter
2.type in dailer pad as *#*#3646633#*#*
3. Go into Hardware settings
4.click on TV out
5. Insert the mhl adapter'usb to phone
6. Connect the mhl adapter's HDMI to smart TV
7. check on the TV-out Enable/ Disable
8. That's all now you can enjoy the whole phone in a big display.
In TV the Video will look same as in phone.
When you keep the phone in landscape mode the video will appear in full screen.
Make sure to buy a quality adapter. The price is approximately 600 to 800 rupees.

I Purchased mmx Canvas 2 in Jan- 2013. it has been 1 yr above using this phone.My experience with this phone is really very good. Performance is awesome. no lagging till i open more then 10 tabs in browser. Camera quality is very good as compare to other same budget phones.
2 months back i updated it with jelly bean 4.1 but it stars lagging and giving some serous problem. So I again moved to the service center and came back with ICS. once again it is running smoothly. RAm is sufficient. I used this till to its maximum in respect lagging by heavy net surfing (both on 2G and 3G), of Playing games (usually for .5 hr to 3 hrs), watching movies on big screen, downloading excessive data ( almost 1.5 gb with in 4to 5 hrs)All in All MMX provided the best phone in this range I am very Happy with its performance.
I found GSM arena very helpfull to know the performance of this phone through its real and hands on experience reviews. So thumbs up for providing such nice information to the phone lovers.

Hey phone z awesome but one thing that made me sad..its front camera..only 0.3 Mp..plz any hope that I would able to see clear picture n front camera also..

i am using this phone since 7 months..the phone shows connection problem whenever i try to make a call even though it is having full range...sim card is working properly in other phones..plz give me the solution.
