And even I faced that apps issue but only once and too immediately after the update.. Now I don't face any issue coz I changed my mem card to 16gb class 10.. I can't say that mem card matters.. But that may be the reason also..

Ravi, for updating ur a116 to android 4.2.1 u have two ways to go...
(1) safest way: go to MMX service center with mobile and purchase-bill, ask them to update. Remember this process will wipe out internal memories. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to have all the important information and files in ur mobile to be backedup (copy to a safe place like PC, pendrive etc). After upvdate u can restore ur files contacts etc.
I have used this way. I used moborobo on pc to have all backups.
(2) high risk way: u have to follow the same procedures as above but only difference is instead of going to service-center you have to upgrade the OS by ur self. The necessary softwares, files and instructions are available on net. BUT IT IS VERY RISKY. IF EVEN A MINOR THING GOES WRONG YOU MAY END UP YOUR PHONE 'BRICKED-UP' (ie, dead piece). Moreover, those software and files are how much trust worthy(ie, free from malwares and viruses) that is also not known.

Hey Frnds. m using Canvas hd116.cn gv 90 out f 100. -10 4 camera flash othrwis phon is awesom. B4 i ws using sam sduos 7562. vry vry bad phon. i hv 50apps in my hd116. Its wrkng fin. I m really vry hpy.Previously i usd 2 thnk micromax is china mek bt my 6frnds r using canvas110. D review is gud aftr tht i decided 2 buy micromax canvas hd A116.Nw i m cmpltly satsfy wit ths cel phon. Paisa Vasool offer.

cool phone have been using it since a month,works even better on jb 4.2,only drawback is dat it does not come with a g-sensor,a go to phone for good gaming and browsing provided with a fast network...

iam very bad to say this in this mobile iam every time facing this problem(canvas HD A116) is stucking the verifications codes i just install the gluu.me app after completing the registration the app asks the verification code but mobile didn't give the verification code i waited for so much time but no use i want perfect solution for this problem what should i do for this problem plz anybody answer for this and advance thanks

veelansh, 12 Jul 2013I m Confuse....... i Should Buy this phone or not.........p... moreThis is really good phone in 13k-15k range. I am using since last 3 & half months. No hang, no lag. Full HD videos run butter smooth. Good processor. I have used Vodafone 2G but it is slower. Now I am using Vodafone 3G & its really fast. Internet speed depends on service provider & availability of signal.
Problem may be there with some pieces as it is electronics item. It can happen to any brand.
I can say :
1) Good dispaly with HD resolution.
2) Good processor. Multitasking is good.
3) Low price as compared to specs provided.
4) Camera not up to the mark.
5) Speaker quality is bad.
6) Battery lasts for one day.
7) Ear phone not good. you can use other good quality earphone. (I am using Byte bluetooth headset & gives nice music output.)

its incoming voice is not clear, coming with vibrating, cmera is not good, its like VGA , incoming ringtone is very low, cant hear in next room, not a good mobile

Ya u I'll loose phone data.. Contacts messages and all the apps which are in phone memory.. So take a backup of all the apps and contacts.. I have my apk backup in my Dropbox..
