I have a USB OTG cable and i want to connect a PS3 dual shock controller via the USB OTG cable to play games like Riptide GP and GTA. Are you sure that it would work?

I was thinking of the Android 4.2 update a week ago and finally Micromax has officially started rolling out Android 4.2.1 update for our Micromax A116 Canvas HD. First of all, hats off to Micromax for the update. This is an example that Micromax is growing rapidly. The update features the following things and fixes some issues: GPS fixed, apps can be moved to SD card, panorama shot added to the camera app, fixed performance issues, added OTA update so that we can update the phone without having to visit service centers from next time and adds some cool new features. For those who have rooted their Canvas HD, don't forget to unroot it before taking to the service centers for the update. Now i think we may get Android 4.3 and 5.0 Key Lime Pie updates, not sure about it. Hats off to Micromax first for the update. Can't wait really. @ABCD, i totally disagree with you. I admit that the camera quality is not very clear in low light but a picture of a person taken from this phone at low light can be recognized easily. It's decent. For an average photographer, the camera is really good and even at low light it performs well. Do you expect a camera quality of, say, Nikon Coolpix S63000, on a phone priced just 14-15k?

The contrast and colour reproduction may improve with Micromax's 4.2 update, as this version will provide improved graphics...So, get this update and see if things improve for you...
If they don't, you'll have to flash your device with a custom ROM which has improved colour and speaker output...I can give you the link to this ROM, but try 4.2 update first...I will also update and see..

1. Yes, if these apps have permissions to access GPS (for determining user location) or internet (for unnecessary automatic updates), then shutting them off or changing their permissions to restrict them would surely do good to your battery backup.
2. You can use Sony DualShock Controller only if you have rooted your phone and thus have superuser access.. Also, an app to pair this controller (Sixaxis Controller App, search playstore)to your smartphone for the first time is required. Once you pair this device, you can play without OTG cable through bluetooth. I have rooted my device, so can play GTA and many other games..havent tried Ripitide though..
3. By this time you must have got the sweet news that Micromax has rolled out update 4.2. So be ready to grab it...

So take care buddy...Unroot it!
