price increased by almost 90%, although pixels and RAM memory improved a lots.
inbuilt memory and battery size still remain stagnant as mmx A110.

to all those with auto rotation problems.. it is actually that the sensors in the phone are not calibrated properly which samsung does before selling their phone whereas micromax was in hurry to sell the phone to forgot to calibrate the phone's sensors. it is very easy and you can do it by following the steps--
in case of micromax a116 calibration issue follow the steps.
switch off the phone.press the 3 keys together : (up and down volume key) and power key together.the user would get two options “recovery mode and factory mode” press the volume down key to enter to the factory mode.now using volume down key scroll down and select the item test option by pressing the setting key.scroll down and select the g-sensor calibration option.now put down the phone such that its body is on the plain surface of table and the back camera is not touching the surface i.e. back camera side is outside the plain surface.[this is because the camera is coming outside the backside of the phone so it has to be kept flat and the lens should be outside the table surface as the phone should be completely horizontal while calibrating] after that press the settings key. do not touch the phone while calibration is going on.when calibration is done it will show you the message on the screen as calibration done.once it is done move back and scroll down to choose the reboot option, to reboot the phone.
please spread this everywhere so people who are going all over the internet saying a116 is bad just because of a small calibration issue... mmx a116 rules the best phone is the world at the price buhahahahah india rocks....

One thing you have to understand is that battery testng has to be done properly to get get accurate results whereas micromax is just giving you a random battery life below the actual battery life that you will get.. i've tested the battery life of the a116 and it took me 8 1/2 to 9 hours to fully drain the phone as i watched matrix movie for 2 hours on the phone and played games for 1 or 2 hours and then started browsing internet for another hour and then checked out random stuff like otg cable[yes otg cable works] and benchmars and all that and the phone died on me after nearly 9 hours while i started watching another hd 1080p blu ray rip video of silent hill halfway.. which means it will gave you around 8 hours of extreme usage and also over a day with moderate usage.. it is just beacuse of the new mediatek processor with 28nm architecte which means it will consume very less power and so you will get very good bettery life.. all those complaining about battery life are old canvas 2 users which was based on the old dual core chipset which consumes more power based on a9 artchr.. and so used to deliver only 4-5 hours of extreme usage... i've tested it and the battery life of the old a110 is below averyage for me.. AND THE GALAXY GRAND LASTED AROUND 10.5 HOURS OF MY XTREME USAGE AND SO YES GRAND WILL GIVE U BETTER BATTERY LIFE.. BUT ONLY A DIFFERENCE OF 1 HOUR..

i've personally tested the camera of the a116 and i can tell you the shots were brilliant. i will give you a few points regarding the camera--
1.it is the best camera under the 20k price range...
2.it almost shutter lag free and amazed me at first when compared to the average camera of canvas 2.
3.it was slower than the grand at focusing an object by around 1 or 2 seconds.. but it is not much of a problem as it is still faster than many other auto focus cameras..
4.the camera uses aggressive noise reduction techniques and so there was absolutely no noise at all whereas grand has a little bit of noise creeping in ... point goes to a116..
5.due to the agressive noise reduction techniques.. there was a loss of detail which will become evident if you zoom the photo to 5x or something but it hardly noticable ..
6.the photos that came from the camera was stunning and the colours were so vibrant i wondered if the display is a super amoled display.. but actually micromax tweaked the camera to bump the colours to oversaturate it and make it look colourful and it is actually a good thing for people who upload to facebook or print is as your photo will look brilliant..
7.low light photography was strictly average and sometimes came out blurry just like any other phone but the grand gave better photos in low light.. so if you want to do a lot of low light photography at night, then go for grand..
8.videos were also good and 1080p video taking is very good and there was only a slight jerking that happens to all the phone camera's and it si not a big issue.. but 720p videos were just outstanding... colours were also bright and vivid because of their software tweaking...
9.the burst mode on the phone i believe is almost as good as the one i tested on the galaxy s3.. if not better... because there was not a single picture blurred due to shutter lag.. and was exceptionally good.. it can take 100 photos in burst mode which is a very good feature too..
i'd say it is a very good camera and the only thing that could have been better were the night shots in low light which were better in the galaxy grand.. and considering the rest of the features i'd give a116 hd the upper hand in the camera department..

BINDA, 25 Feb 2013yes,it's true i m facing many problam for this issuei dont think there is any such problems with charging.. it takes 1:45 minutes to charge.. acc to a friend of mine there is no such issue..

ak, 25 Feb 2013Hi all, Pls share the radiation details and anybody face ... morethe radiation level is very low.. as given in the specifications of gsmarena SAR US.. compared to other phones its really low radiation values.. example iphone has 1.18 W/kg radiation levels.. and there is no heating problem according to my friend who bought it.. he played heavy games and no heating because of cortex a7 from mediatech..!!

A) it is strange to find so many people who hv problems with mmx sets.. It is nothing but a last ditch effort by the competitors to sabotage the sale of the mmx a116... However these sabotagers will not b successful since mmxa116 is already the most searched phone on internet.
B) talked to snapdeal representative nd was told dat they hv unprecedented orders for a116 hence this delay
C) talked to mmx stockist in lucknow and kanpur.. The set is not coming to them anywhere in near future as the company is unable to meet its demand on the website sale itself.
Such is the craze of a116... Sure it wud make all its contemporaries nervous hence this spreading of misinformations and rumors.. Cant blame the poor guys.. As for those who hv already bought it or booked it..a BIG THUMBS UP

Hi folks, here is the news for MMX fans, Micromax canvas 3 a120 is gonna be launched on march 14, will be available from 1st week of april. priced under 16k. Coming to give rough tucker for samsung s4.many of you have bad cons about its battery life and heat during calls , its all just rumours. I'm using hd from last 2 weeks, no problem yet. Those who r planning to bur a116 can wait fro 2 months and get hands on a120 with amazing features.

Hi friends, I am planning to buy a smart phone and my budget was Rs 15000. Micromax canvas hd suited by budget and also the specifications are excellent. But my concern is regarding----
1. Battery life- can anyone who is using this phablet tell me about the battery life because specs states that 5hrs of talktime.
2. Can it play 1080p videos without any skipping of frames.
3. How is the pics & video quality shot in this phone.
