1. Avoid heating up your phone. Heat is an enemy to batteries.
2. Let your battery drain to 15 percent and then charge it. Remember, don't overcharge it.
3. Reduce brightness to the lowest point, set timeout to 15 seconds, disable vibrations from the virtual keyboard, disable background data and auto sync.
4. Do all these mentioned things and even after doing all these things, your battery drains quickly then replace the battery with a genuine one.

Sonu, 15 Nov 2013This problem every phone.silent to general profile active........I'm on Android 4.1.2 on my Micromax A116 and i don't face the issue you are facing with your phone. I guess you've updated your phone to Android 4.2.1? If yes then it's a bug and it will go away after Android 4.3 update.

Rakesh, 15 Nov 2013using micromax A116 since last 6 months. facing few problem... moreI have been using Micromax A116 for 6 months too. I haven't faced the messaging app force close issue but screen is way too shaky to use when connected to a PC or on charge. Go into settings -> Apps -> Press the touch sensitive menu key and select reset app preferences and then reboot the phone and then reset it. It will solve your messaging app issue.

Can anybody tell me how to hear the name of the caller when we are not seeing the screen in Canvas HD A116, as like in samsung smart phones. As it is very help full to avoid unknown calls while we are in two wheeler driving.

using micromax A116 since last 6 months. facing few problems since last few days. one problem with opening of messages. its showing a message that messaging has been stopped. and one more problem that screen and display starts shaking badly. if anybody facing any such problems and knows some solution please tell me. my email is rakeshraghav1981@gmail.com

I bought this device before six months but now the battery is causing problems it gets drained in minutes can any one suggest what to do while charging it shows 100% when I use it gets drained in minutes.

A very good phone. I am using it for last six months without any single problem. I also got it updated to Jelly bean 4.2.1 very easily from service centre of Micromax. Latest update offers panoramic view option in camera too. The only con in this phone is its battery life need to charge it atlist twice if internet is used.

Yes There is a Battery Problem in Phone, We need to charge it twice/Thrice in a day. (If you are continuously using phone)
But Apart from Battery Problem Overall Performance is good.
1. Picture Quality is good with Camera.
2. Till yet i have not faced any hanging problem with mobile.
3. With the Quad Core Processor We can easily run 2,3 Application parallels on phone.
So, Compare to Samsung Grand I think you can buy this phone.
