very good phone. can compete with any smart phone costing upto 35000.
only voice problem when speaker is on.

i bought new mmx a117 but it has sound fluctuation problem i install viper 4 app but when i install he said drive not found so can any one tell me how i install this app & solved this problem

I have been using this since Dec13. Good phone with value for money. Following are observations.
i. 12MP camera quality is not upto mark. Can't compete with 12MP of Samsung.
ii. Screen goes blank sometime without unknown reason.
iii. 2G works only in SIM2. If 2G sim card inserted in SIM1, it doesnt work. Seems SIM1 for 3G and SIM2 for 2G-EDGE.

In this model both the sim slots are 3G supportin but they wont support sim in 3g mode at the sme time..

Vits, 02 Apr 2014Using this set for nearly 4 months, now.. running very well... moreAt any point in time, you can activate 3G in handset on either of the SIMs. You have di this by changing " settings-SIM management-default settings-video call settings" to choose which SIM you want 3G to be activated. As you know video calling requires 3G, that SIM will be 3G supported on the handset. All this means is that you don't need to interchange the SIMs in your SIM slots as either slot can be 3G supported, but not both at the same time.

Using this set for nearly 4 months, now.. running very well. Good Value for Money. My question is.. I have activated 3G in SIM1, planning to put SIM2, is the SIM2, also compatible with 3G ?

I bought Micromax-Canvas-117. this newly purchased handset has sound fluctuation while playing music.Sound increase and decreases automatically. for this problem i visited to nearest service centre in H.P.,There people returned ny Handset with so many Problem.after I visited two to three times at Manimazra Service centre for this problem.
in my view at this price Rs.14000 we should but handset of antoher company.

I have same problem of sound fluctuations.
I have installed viper4android fx and done everything.
But the prob us still there. In Driver status everything is fine except Processing which shows NO.
One more thing, there is no option like Sound or Music Effects in Settings as told by u.
So what can be done.

$DJ, 28 Mar 2014thats the app..now after installation u must have got super... morei have installed viper4 android fx app with root. after driver install n reboot, on checking driver status everything is fine except "Processing" which shows NO.
One more thing , there is no Music Effects or Sound option in settings.
so what to do now.

this doesn't support normal headphones. only AHJ pins are supported.
