Used the phone for 2 weeks now. I am decent user in terms of Apps and Decent on Gaming. Dont use the phone much for games though.
UI / Display: Through Jelly Bean, the UI seems normal, nothing new there but Display certainly is impressive. Full HD and also the touch feel is good.
Battery: Here Micromax could have done little better by Providing about 2800 to 3000 mAH battery instead of 2350 mAH. With decent usage of Apps like Whatsapp and browing Internet the battery can last for about 1 day. Use some battery saver apps which can enhance th juice by couple of hours. Example I sync data during night only at hourly freuqency.
Processor / Speed: Super Fast is the word. This phone is killer with its Octa Core processor. Can easily manage heavy applications.
Camera: Better then other Micromax phones but still there is scope to improve. Day Light Pictures are decent.
Sound: Though it claims Yamaha Amp, I dont see a big difference in sound. Not sure if thats becuase I dont listen to much of Music. Otherwise for masses the sound is decent. Tried listening on Stereo Bluetooth and that sounds ok.
Heating Problem: Yes there is a problem at times when you use the Camera extensively or at times while charging the phone. What I noticed is that when i remove all the notifications and put this for charging again the heating reduces considerably. I have not faced any problem though. I have had similar problems at times with S3 as well.
Overall: This phone scores 8/10. The phone is best looking from Micromax, build is great.

I booked my Micromax Canvas Knight on the 5th March, the same day when it was launched. Received it on 8th March. however, within 9 days of use my phone's screen went blank. have already deposited my phone with the local service centre as per the advice received from Micromax customer care. But there is no update on the repairs since they do not have spare parts available even in Gurgaon where this company is headquartered. the service department does not reply to my emails and has not given me any update on when I can expect the repairs done although it is now almost 8 days since I deposited my phone with them.
Hence, I would say that their after sales service is not at all good. moreover, the parts used in the phone, specially the screen, does not appear to be of durable or dependable type. Hence, pls don't buy this phone if you want peace of mind. stick to the quality names such as samsung, LG, Sony, Apple.

Now an Average user just looks for a phone that performs fast and has a good battery life and a decent camera!! then MOTO G is it... it will even run all the high end games without any lag!! Canvas knight is great phone but if u aint gonna be using it a lot, then no point in buying it!!

I booked Micromax KNIGHT online........its been 12 days ....still no sign of delivery!!!!!!
Initially they promised certain date...which has now changed....now their call ceter says there is FURTHER DELAY!!!!!!!
It would be better if MICROMAX clarified the delay issue
MOST IMPORTANT THEIR WEBSITE STILL ACCEPTS ORDERS SAYING A DELIVERY PERIOD THEY CANNOT KEEP FOR SURE

Also, do you recommend this high spec device for an average user like me? Or should i go for a simple device like moto g?

Guys if you are not satisfied with this phone and are scared of its service try Lava. I have been using iris pro 30 for 40 days and it has been performing fantastically. Battery last two days at moderate use. Display is awsum. Net speed is blazing fast. Camera is also good. Overall a phone worth buying.

The after sale service is pure bullshit man .. No adulteration! The fone has good specs bt all the harassment u suffer during the arrival and after sale phase i conclude it is not worth it .. Dissapointing

my review after using the 10 days
1) display 9/10
display is good but icons are very large
2) ui and bulid quality 6/10
ui is pretty stock my suggestion is previously you are using any mmx device then dont go for it bcoz all ui is same on the old devices but bulid quality is supereb and non removable battery
3) perfomance 10/10
no matter here
4) camera 3/10
even my samsung 5mp camera is better than this colours are not accurated and when we zoom the image the total image was noisy and videos are worest if u have camera lover then dont go this
5) audio quality 5/10
audio at the output is good but in ear phones is very bad and it cannot compatible with other any kind of earphone except mmx knight only
and no secondary mike the recorded video quality is terrible and so much noisy even 5000 phones also having secondary mike
6) call quality 5/10
terrible about this both transmitting and receiving sides bcoz its does not have the secondary mike
7)videoplayback 6/10
over saturating videos
8)battery life 5/10
if we use continuously 4 hours battery get fully discharge
9) still no nfc and chiness hardware no micro sd card
overal rating 7/10
