hey nil,,finally i rooted my phone,problem solved by installing latest rom manager frm market,,my question is dat can i apply first hybrid v3 rom then cwm update and then full ics update.zip?,is it harmful for phone or not, to apply updates on modified roms?,i flashed cwm on my stock rom,n still using,i just want batery life more(wid hybrid) and black panel(ics update) both,,can it be done?thanx

i owe one aswell,first of all it runs on android version 2.2(froyo),not 2.1 and secondly it cant be upgraded to 2.3(ginger bread)

vbv, 14 Apr 2012hey nil..........can we use a73 or a75's rom on a70 thru ro... moreno specifications of a73 and a75 are different from a70...a70 has lower processor and lesser ram...as far I know rom a75 was ported on a70 but it was not successful...

BUNNY, 13 Apr 2012Friends help me. I have been using this mobile for 6 months... morehello bunny,don't worry a70 has 2.2 android aka froyo,not 2.1...to confirm it,go to settings>about phone>android version,here u can see 2.2.1....
but unfortunately u can't update the android version of a70,root will not help u to update the android version,if ur mobile is rooted then u can use full potential of android...u can install very useful apps like titanium backup(using this app u can take backup of ur install apps & restore later if required),rom manager(using this app u can install clockworkmod recovery,take backup of ur rom etc),link2sd app(u can partition ur sd card and apps will be totally installed in ur sd card,u can install as many apps u like, no internal memory will be reduced)

Hey Nil22, can you tell me how to do that partition on the SD card and how to get all the apps onto it and thus free the internal memory space. If you could get me the details in step by step fashion please?

Friends help me. I have been using this mobile for 6 months no problems and I got root to my mobile.This mobile contains android version 2. 1. I heard that the rooted users can get latest android OS 2. 2 or 2. 3 version. Can I get it? If I can how can I get it please tell me the process... please help me...

I have to say my patience is getting tested with this phone. I have bought this phone Oct 2011. Since then I am discovering new problems every now n then. First of all whenever I start Wi-Fi, it does display the logo, acquires the IP etc:. but internet still doesnt work. For connecting to the GPRS/2G/3G , sometimes I have to restart the mobile. The screen is non responsive sometime. Because of that I had to uninstall screen pattern lock app. Whenever I connect the phone to charger, the screen behaves weirdly. Camera is 5mp, but the picture quality is just ok. Very bad in lesser light. Speaker volume is very low, cant hear anything in crowd (even simple NOKIA phone speakers are far better). I think micromax has copied an HTC model and while doing this, did a huge compromise to quality, and there is where the low price comes in picture.

its really a good phone..loaded with almost all da features..
a single dislike is dat it's stuck at froyo(2.2) :/

dear frnd, what is "DIALER"? it s on SETTINGS--> ABOUT PHONE--> BATTERY USE. bcoz this is using the battery near 2 androind system.. how can i reduce the consumption foe tht? & my touch screen is not working properly in middle of the screen. i need to press heavier @ there. wat can i do? pls help me...

Don't buy this cell if u want to use more than 6 months.. I am using a70 since 7 months .. getting hanged, screen becomes black and unresponsive for that u hav to remove battery n again start .. some of the good features r there like nice screen display, camera, gaming. Go for good brand like Samsung, Nokia, HTC..

I am getting standby time of 7-8 days in Micromax A70 using setcpu app which set to powersave profile of 122MHz which is enough for most of the calling function except internet.. i also use Advance task manager to kill the unneeded apps once in 2 days to conserve power.
I am using Micromax A70 for more than 6 months..and it has overall good phone with good voice clarity , camera and not given any problem till now.

AnonD-28101, 07 Apr 2012ok thanx nil,,i'll try,and if it success,den i'll inform u,... morenil,,i did wat u said in last post,,all things are ok,my card having 4gb space left,,but still same problem occur.no reboot recovery wid vol n power button,,.i think rooting is not for my phone,,i m unrooting it,,,any way thanx for needful suggestions
