I own both of these devices
If you want to compare A70 with galaxy y,
Galaxy Y has 800 mhz processor vs a70's 600 mhz
Galaxy Y's camera can take better pictures under low light conditions @ 2MP but A70's camera blows it if shot in good lighting.. like in day time
Video capture, A70 wins VGA (A70) vs QVGA (Galaxy Y)
A70 has 320 by 480 res screen vs Galaxy Y's 240 by 320
Screen res is very important, dont neglect it.. i m having a hard time typing a message on my Y but i can do the same quite easily on my A70..
A70's loudspeakers are average, Y's speakers are slightly better
Capacitative screen response is same for both...
A70 has a front camera (even though its useless, it cant be used for 3g video calling) but hey, its better than not having a front cam.. lol and besides (fring anyone ? :P)
Quadrant scores are useless IMO... i used to get around 480 on stock but around 900-1000 on Leandros ROM.. On Y, i get around 800ish..
Y outperforms in gaming obviously but the low res screen really takes all that fun from them..
If you have to go for an android device at low price range, dont go for either of these.. go for Optimus net, One , or Dell XCD35..

Hardware quality is poor. Wifi is ridiculous. Internet is slow. Download is slow. China made handset that is why unable to provide source code, High SAR, No after sale service, No Update/upgrade, Very Low Benchmark Score without rooting, What will u do with a good screen/Antivirus if everything at back is worse ???
Whereas u see in Galaxy Y of same price range. Excellent performance, Excellent download speed, Excellent wifi, Excellent speakers/headsets, Good battery backup, Good screen resolution (even Apple IPAD is having same pixel density - so no issue). SD card problem removed with current software update. Excellent Touch response. Very Low SAR. Can be updated. etc etc etc.
It seems that you get hurt when anything bad is said about A70 because u purchased this CRAP mobile.
Also I understand that u do not want to believe A70 as CRAP but u know the truth. Ask your mind not your heart, u will get the answer:p

sree, 24 Jan 2012nice phone with low budget but battery is too poor and nice... more@sree...just download fast reboot app to close unnecessary apps...keep switch off during charging, use zeam launcher...it will give u better battery life...if u r still getting bad better like tell me I will give a battery saving tips or just search in earlier pages where I have already given a battery saving tips... :)

so bichey stop telling us what to do & what to not do coz we have our good developers in androidforum for that...nd about ur friend who has upgraded the screen size :D ,either he is a true genius who knows a lot about android mobl or just another dumb person who knows nothing , coz even the developers in androidforum haven't able to overclock a70 ,they need the kernel source code to overclock...if he is a genius then tell him to share his experience in androidforum,we will be glad to hear from him rather than hearing ur nonsense stories :D

I suggest each and every A70 users to use your phone as a "phone". A70 is not a Guinea Pig to experiment. A70 hardware is not good. Experimenting with custom roms, flashing etc in A70 will brick your phone.
One of my friend overclocked A70 and it generated so much heat that the phone melted down and became bigger in size. Now his phone screen size is 4.0 inch. Imagine !!! :D

and whats the problem in 5mp cam???????use some good apps like lgcamera or camera360 to take good pictures & make sure u hav focused well :)

I heard ... more@bichey...yes u heard right a70 Quadrant Benchmark Score is around 480 in the stock rom...but d good news is, there r some very good custom roms available for A70 where Quadrant Benchmark Score is 900+ :) :) :)

AnonD-29424, 22 Jan 2012Micromax suggested not to install any ANTI VIRUS in MMX A70... more@bichey...i dont know bichey where from u get this silly information...i dont know about a75 (coz i am not using it) but i know about a70(coz i am using it from 4months)...a70 never hangs...& netquin antivirus comes preinstalled in a70...but i personally feel no need of antivirus so i hv uninstalled it...a70 is a good mobile but as mmx copmany is 3rd class & mmx customer service is worst,if ur mobile needs repairing dont expect from mmx ;-) thatsy i dont recommend ne 1 to buy mmx product...

You are recommended to use the permanent root option. Once you click the option, the phone reboots (do not worry if it stays frozen for some amount of time). That is it, after the reboot, you have successfully rooted your phone.
To confirm that you have rooted your phone, you can check your apps to see a new app called "Superuser" has appeared. This app can be used allow/deny root permissions to other apps...u can unroot also using d same app... :)
after rooting install titanium backup...using this app 1st take backup of the app which u want to uninstall then uninstall the app...if u need the app later u can restore it from the backup... :)
so u can get ur factory settings easyly... :)

yes u can do video calling using apps like fring,tango etc for vcall u need internet/gprs...but skype vcalling or vcalling using service providers like Vodafone or airtel is not possible...
best video app for vcall in a70 is yahoo messenger...to know how to install yahoo messenger go to this link...
