I have purchased this phone one month ago Serious... more1. Keep brightness below 75% ALL THE TIME and at 0% indoors
2. Keep GPS, BT Turned-Off, ALWAYS (Unless when needed)
3. Turn-Off Wi-Fi while going out of the house and Turn-On ONLY in Wi-fi Zones
4. Don't install apps like DU Battery Saver etc., they consume more battery than what they save (They ALWAYS keep scanning for Power-Wasting apps). For knowing which app consumes how much energy, go to the 'Battery' option in 'Settings' and from there you yourself can kill the apps
5.Uninstall unwanted apps and disable unwanted Pre-Installed apps
I hope these will get your battery running a lot more than that at this time.

Prince, 29 Jan 2016Worst service by Micromax...don't by any phone from Microma... moreDear 'Prince', let me inform you that no Service Centre will be behind you like dogs to take back your phone or will be informing you of your phone unless the Service Centre costs over a few 1000's for a simple Hard-Reset (Apple does that). And which Service Centre has provided you with another phone while they are going to replace your phone. Please think before you speak!

sbn tmg, 29 Jan 2016I was thinking of buying of this in a few days till today.... moreIt is a great phone, but does have a few niggles and issues (like every smartphone does), my suggestion, use features like HotKnot, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc. wisely, turn them on only when they are needed and keep brightness below 75% ALL the time and keep it at 0% indoors, don't use Auto Brightness and don't install battery saving apps (they use more battery than what they save). This for sure will resolve the battery issue. I don't know other issues as this was the most prominent one here. For service centre problem, I suggest you to go to the Small Repair shops for small issues like Charging Wire problem, App malfunction etc. because many people actually pester the Sercive Centre with minute problems like the above ones I mentioned (you yourself can reset phone to resolve few problems). So I prefer go for it

Friends I also suggest to not go for E481. If you change the wallpaper form Black to white one you clearly observed minute dust particles trapped inside screen and some minute white spot also I have replace 3 times my cell but all piece have same problem so before buying i'll suggest to change wallpaper from black to white and watch carefully. very cheap product.

I was thinking of buying of this in a few days till today..and was well impressed of this features...but today when I saw these users posts I m so discouraged and made me to fear of buying it....M in dellemma....can me plz assure me to buy this phone..I still love to use this

Worst service by Micromax...don't by any phone from Micromax brand....I bought Canvas 5 E481 and within 10 days it has hardware issue. The phone was not starting and when i complain in shop where i bought...they said need to take with service center....and after 10 days they replace my phone........in between they r not provide any other phone for use and not any information that when it will solve. I have to followup with call center and the shop guy..........!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont buy any Micromax phone......

People don't ever buy the newly launched phones from Micromax, they are not serviced at the service center and you have to follow up on the call center for everything.
I bought this Canvas 5 (E481) in Dec'15 and got a software problem in 1st week of Jan'16. Since then I've been following up almost everyday on their call center and its still not repaired. Even though they are asking for 999/- to replace the phone when its a simple software problem which can be fixed by flashing the ROM.
DO NOT EVER BUY THIS PHONE OR BE READY TO HAVE ANOTHER PHONE FULL TIME BUSY CALLING THEIR SO CALLED PREMIER CARE SERVICE CENTER.

Not satisfied with back camera and not satisfied with its speed because it having 3gb, am not felling no difference between 1gb ram canvas hd and canvas 5 e481 and no use of light senser because its only given for specification discruption u can check out by installing app light senser (u can install senser checker) and close senser by finger its side by front camera and if its readings go down than senser is working correct but in this phone light variation not seen

i hv bought dis fon 2 months ago. m 95% stisfied wid dis fon ... only primary camera is not good enough nd also long time to caoture images ... rest all features are superb , be it - battery,front camera,speed,look,touch sensitivity etc ...
i wud recommend u to buy dis pretty fon @ a reasonable price ...

I have purchased this phone one month ago Seriously telling it drains battery like anything. Camera configuration is not so powerful also. Choose another option before purchasing if u can..
