i would request all of micromax Q5 users to got wap. jbenchmark .com and download the jbenchmark net tool and run it on ur phones and report the speed....my Q5 is getting 177kbps that is it is near to something like 22kB/s.. this proves that it has EDGE CLASS 10 THANKS WAITING FOR OTHERS TO REPORT THEIRS...

dont buy its having problem of going into hands free mode after 3-4 months of purchasing.i saw 6 mobiles having same problem

i took micromax q5 fb back 1 week. this is an amazing phone. internet browsing using this great gadget is awsome ... i love this phone...the most impresive thing is ... now with 2 sim active and playing songs almost all the time and also having average call duration of 15 min. for more than 20 calls a day am getting battery backup of 2 days... in kerala the price is only 3950 ... well am impressed ....

Hey guys im giving u an honest answer.Dont go for micromax q5.Go for motorola ex115 instead.3mp camera,sound quality is amazing.......32gb expandable....u unlimited sms storage and phonebook storeage and edge class 10 so internet speed is amazing..its 4600 rs go for it.ive used q5,ex115,c3 this best

Advice: NOT 2 BUY.
Hey guys micromax q5 is better than the chinese phones and worse than the Nokia lower end mobile like Nokia 2690.
It doesnt support EDGE.
It supports only GPRS of Class 10.
Downloading problem arises thru Opera.
Track ball is too worse and Nimbuzz is not working at all.
We cant download any Java apps thru the major sites and we can download only thru "Umnet.com"
Camera is not at its best.

Its message storage capacity is around 400 sms which is too less for a qwerty phone. Apart from this it is a good phone overall. Bear in mind that the design philosophy is very different from your usual branded phones and be prepared for some unexpected strengths and some unanticipated short commings.
Pros
Call recorder
Radio with recording.
Excellent keypad
Sturdy quality construction.
Great for scrolling through the sms with ease and has no equal in this department.
External Speaker is good
Headphone jack socket which can be connected to any headset.
Dual sim.
Negative points
Internet capabilities limited to largely sending only emails and that to using the opera browser.
Horrible pc suit.
Can store only around 400 sms despite being great for texting.
Can play only limited multimedia formats.
Camera is poor.
Conclusion :- It is quite strong in the areas where it is strong and more than a match for most branded phones in those departments.
