dr.hemant, 02 Jul 2010i brought this phone about 2weeks back.
the 1st 3days wer... moreya i agree... that .. bt first set of Mobile Q5fb was faulty, it had orange colour keypad,,, buy green colour one,
as orange is Verion :8.0 mobiles and Green is version:9..
VER:9 have no problem at all,,

let me clear ur some doubts
all applications like Facebook and meseengers use ur SIM 1 for net, hence ur SIM 1 shud have gprs activated and settings shud be installed.
well once u have got ur settings from GSM provider, here are steps.
1) go to facebook,select 2nd option settings.
2)select all option and make them "allow" & save it
3)come network profile i,e 4th option, select profile mode-as"User Specific", Select sim - "SIM 1",Java SIM! profile --"AIRCEL GPRS" (whatever provider ur using,use gprs settings not wap).then save them.
and then start ur application.. same will follow to other apps too ..i,e MSN,google..etc..

hiiiii guys i jst bought Q5 few days ago and i m not able use facebook and gtalk application every thr is msg login failed.While opera is working fine i can acces the net but not able to download files of size 1 mb everytime it shows "fetch error".plzzz tell me how can i make to work ????????
one more thing nybdy how to use net via pc using q5??????

hey can anybody pls pls tell me how to use facebook on this phone.whenever i'm trying to open it it ask for username and password and after filling the colloum and clicking login it says login failed
pls help me i want to use it desperately

My personal experience wid Micromax Q5 as
Pros.
1. Superior sound quality both in ear-phone and speaker phone (specially 'cause of built-in YAMAHA
amplifier) dat must quench d thurst who loves 2 listen music.
2.Easy accessability of internet, thanks to Opera Mini browser. Download songs, wallpapers, tones, games (depending on compatibility setting).
Browse as much as you can with full content.
3.Eae of typing 'cause of spacious keypad.
Cons.
1. Lack of Flash.
2. YouTube not supported.
3. Much heavier

This mobile is one of the best ever seen.I buy this last month,amazing high speed net connection.GOOGLE ,orkut,GMAIL can view as such as in computers.we can dowload images directly from internet which has high resolution.we can download notes.goole dictionary too."low cost " 4000" .image types jpg,bnp,jif .Very sencitive track ball.High effect in headset"NOKIA IS NOTHING" with these range of prices. @ Deep: No you cannot filter songs by artist, album, etc. nor can u create playlists. the sound however is amazing by headphones & speaker & it has a 3.5 mm jack tat u can use to connect to any speakers!

hey guys... ibought this phone yesterday. looks ok but i have a problem, i am not able to set the mp3 songs which i downloaded as my ringtones. the process i am following is as follows:-
go to menu:- setting :- user profile:- customize:- tone settings sim1 incoming call:- select the ringtone which i have added in list:- options :- set as ringtone...
when i do set as ringtone i get a msg done:::: but when i come out of the profile after activating, i find that the tone has not changed and is the same as earlier.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.

Hey Guys, I have 3 question ?
Please check your Audio Player under Multimedia Menu. and let me know that ,
1)Does audio player contains filer of Album, Artist, Genre, Playlist etc... ?
2) Can I make multiple Playlist in that ? like Old Songs, New Songs ? as i can't make it in my new Q5.
3) Does phone book have Icons for Mobile, Office, LandLine, E-mail ...etc ?

i brought this phone about 2weeks back.
the 1st 3days were amazing. no problem in usage.
the 4th day it stoped recognising my vodafone sim card. but continued working with my reliance one.
after next 3days, it stoped recognising any sim card.
i took it too the service center, i was astonished to see 10people with q5-fb with same complaints. they kept the phone for checking. after a few phone calls, they informed me tht the piece was faulty and i needed a replacement. I got a replacement form the dealer. The second piece was even worse. its trackball is so sensitive tht mere brusing it the phone lights up. the speaker quality is bad. again i took it too the service center. they have again kept it. horrendous phones, no quality check.
please dont buy it

here it is the process to connect internet in Q5...
to acess the internet we have to give settings manually...
u have to open settings and select connectivity->then select Data account-> select GPRS->go to options -> selct Edit option ->Then give Account name "Aircel"...after that give APN as "aircelgprs" ....username and password leave it as blank .....save the profile ....this is the first step...
after that go to menu-> select Services ->select WAP ->profiles->select SIM1->select optiions ->Edit Profile->Give Profile Name "AIRCEL" SHOULD be Captial... Letters...give Homepage Name "http://www.google.com"....then Select Data account->Select GPRS->select Aircel......after that come to connection type and Give it as "HTTP" ->>>leave the user name and passwords as blank....then Save it ........After this select menu ->go to services ->select WAP ->select settings->select Select SIM Option ->select SIM1.......after this u should switch Off and ON U R mobile.....u can browse tha net as u like ...
