I bought Micromax Q5 from Nasik. Its very sad to tell you all that the phone started hanging just 2 days after I purchased it. The phone locks itself and not a single key responds. You need to RE FORMAT the phone by taking it to the Service Center before you can begin to use it again. Very crap phone. Untested mobile, NEVER BUY IT !

Ashwin Singh, 28 Jun 2010Hi Ankit I was really Impressed after reading your revi... moredear ashwin.. dont bother about the sound quality.. u just need to get yourself a gud noice cancellation ear plugs either by sony erricson.. i use dell's earplugs.. as far as downloading games and instant messaging is concerned..there are few games which can be downloaded which are made through java.. as the operating system is completely java based..and messengers work fine.. u might find some problems loading opera mini.. that need to be fixed..you can do it yourself or else can move to the nearest service centre.. the camera works fine in daylight..quite clear..but in night its pathetic..the main drawback is that only one sim can be used at a time.. means if you are talking to someone on 1st sim and in case someone calls on the other sim, the phone would appear to be swithced off to that person. never tried to use internet on it as using high speed broadband at home.apart from that U can tell me ur budget and requirements, i can help you to suggest a gud handset for u :)

The set is good excepting camera - pic quality is poor - seems that of below 1.0MP cam. However sound quality is really satisfactory. Pl. tell me the safest link to download songs, ringtones without downloading virus .

Please check your Audio Player under Multimedia Menu. and let me know that ,
1)Does audio player contains filer of Album, Artist, Genre, Playlist etc... ?
2) Can I make multiple Playlist in that ? like Old Songs, New Songs ? as i can't make it in my new Q5.
3) Does phone book have Icons for Mobile, Office, LandLine, E-mail ...etc ?

download opera mini from operamini sit then install it in ur mobile.after this process it will work but it may b possible that it wouldnt work with its short cut available on main menu....for letting the short cut work u would hav to do a thing that follow the steps below:-
go to fun and games
then go in java
u will see all applications there
now confirm that the opera mini icon exists there in the 5th no.
if it dosent exists on fifth no. then place it on fifth by deleting the applictions installed by u above opera.
when the opera wil come on fifth no
then its shortcut will start working............

Well,Q5 is just a steal if u are looking for a multimedia phone.. i got it for just 3800 and the phone is quite satisfactory in terms of voice quality.. and the music quality is unbeatable.. just like apple ipod. the bass effect is terrific.. u just need to use some good quality noice cancellation ear plugs.. the camera is not good at all so dont expect anything in terms of camera and video..dual sim works fine... all messengers working gud and very comfortable keypad and the trackball is also very smooth. I give it 9 out of 10 as i dont care about camera and videos. Cmmon guys what more can u expect in less than 4K. :) :)

Hey guys,
I bought 1 yesterday for 3850 INR (with bill), sound clarity really good (direct competition 2 sony ericsson), features also pretty easy, but i need some help with the keypad locking.
Can some1 gimme a detailed procedure to set the keypad lock (lock code) and usage ?
Also facing some issues with ebook reader.
I'll give it a 3.9 out of 5.
Really good value for money.

Hi Guys , this phone Rocks... its yamaha Amplifier will take u for a ride... i prefer it over my Car deck.... its too gus go for it
