Can it read PDF files of all sizes ??
How is voice clarity during a call ??
Does music player have equalizer settings??
How is video playback ??
Approximate period after which it needs to be charged??

There was a time when i used to gain as much information about this phone till 30th september. But now since i have purchased it, i am in a position to tell you a bit about it.
PLUS POINTS :
it is a sturdy phone well masculine built i would say.
it has a very good 3g speed(3g is availabe on sim 1 only.
opera mini works fantastically and i do not need any pc or laptop to browse the internet. you can go to any website in a jiffy .
bluetooth works fine. Wi-FI is satisfactory. You can't go beyond 7 meters for good wifi signal.
camera works fine in good light . especially the front camera impressed me.
music quality is fantastic. Though phone memory is poor , you will have to depend on memory card.
track pad is very nice. the EZMAIL is working fine. you can get any incoming mail very fast, without any extra expense.
data cable is also woking fine. You can transfer files with its help to PC (if it has no bluetooth)
the greatest minus point is its battery which is not upto the mark considering the heavy use of the phone as it offers you so many features.
over all it is very nice phone in this price range. you can go ahead and grab it...all the best..

1. Battery life is not impressive. Not for those who talk a lot on the mobile unless you have no problems charging it daily. My father, with his almost negligible daily talk, has to charge the phone every third day!
2. The back-up software leaves a lot to be desired. In fact I have not been able to backup the contact numbers on the comp till now.
3. Contact list export is incomplete. have tried many times. But the list exports with only the numbers and not the names.
4. Service centers, though spread across India, are not properly briefed. I tried to call up the service center to help me with the pc software but got no proper answer.
So you see, this phone is not for high volume users. But if you are a moderate user, you could try it out. I would advise Micromax to improve upon the points mentioned above and maybe charge an extra thousand rupees for the phone! The phone, on its own, is very desirable.

A lot is being said about the Micromax Q80. I have recently bought one for my father. And I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with the phone. Its 100% value for money!Look at the features and look at the price. No one else can offer you so much for so less. Obviously, when you pay less money, some features will get compromised. Otherwise this is a rocking phone. PLus points...looks, features, trackpad, superb push email, plus many others. Cons... battery talktime, computer backup software. This phone is not for those who talk a lot. But this is a steal for those who are more conservative users. A big thumbs up to Micromax. Caution - Do make sure that you know the service center, else you may be left fretting and fuming.

camera is average
the software cd provided with it is almost useless
samsung star c6712 is better to buy

i've bought this mobile but sell next day bcoz buying this mobile is waste of money for me:
-it's software is very similar to china mobile
-internet surfing speed is slow
-it's configurations shows it has 256k colour display but samsung 65k colour display mobiles have better picture quality than it.while playing 3gp videos it's totally blurred.only hd videos are normal for viewing.
good features about this mobile:-
optical trackpad works good
it's sound engine is excellent
