Sandeep, 16 Nov 2014I know l520 plays 720p but my friend's l530 just can't play... moredude I never used any phone with sd200 processor...
just check other 3rd party players(like moliplayer, ccplayer) can play 720p movies on your freinds 530..
these 3rd party players can play mkv movies easily.
VLC media player also coming this week with totally free of cost...
microsoft added mkv support locally in preview of desktop w10 n even in xbox one..
so we can expect mkv native support in WP10...
about frame drop.. its fault of sd200 dude.. its not fault of os... looks like sd200 not capable to handle hd videos.

I don't know if this is that relevant but I think Microsoft's phones would look a lot nicer if they just replaced the Nokia logo with the word "Lumia". Everyone knows "Lumia" refers to a phone running Windows and I think having "Microsoft" just makes it look tacky. Maybe I just find it difficult to think that Microsoft could design an aesthetically pleasing line of mobile devices... But then again, you can thank Nokia for that.
Rambling aside, it's a decent low-end phone running the latest software. Hopefully Windows 10 makes some cool and useful improvements.

So dude think before saying. I want to say though it's a low resource dependent os still can't play 720 with quad core where android ics with mtk 1 ghz duel core can do this.
