Please check the Lumia reviews! Even Lumia 520 can play it
The video player in Windows Phone 8.1 has greatly improved codec support encounter. Now it supports XviD & DivX and MP4 videos up to 1080p resolution.

dragos2009, 14 Nov 2014they better put in the processor that actually is in the lu... moreThe 4 core is better than the dual core in 520. Windows Phone 8.1 is optimized for it. Lumia 635 with 512MB RAM and Quadcore is smooth as butter. Smoother than Lumia 520.

Nice news if windows phone 8 devices will get windows 10. Then it will have more features and stll NT kernel. I like windows phone 8.1 because it has the most unique user interface. has a built in checkdisk when memory card is corrupted. no need for anti virus/malware. it has Live Tiles home screen which is different from traditional common base icons since windows,linux,mac os,android, symbian, etc. even it is a stripped down windows os of its windows desktop os.

I am not interested in Lumia 520 becoz of low RAM and low camera but this one has 1gb RAM and acceptable camera with good size of screen so this will be my next phone if I able to find one for me.

Pathetic phones can't run a 720p video in quad core and 512mb ram where my Android which is from a lame manufacturer Micromax with near stock Android 4.0 can Run 1080p with a poor duel core. This proves how good android is even a 4.0. So believe me how smooth it run does not matter when it has no power underhood.
