Dear frnds, I have also been using lumia 540 since March 2015. Overall its good fone but not very good fone. I have updated window 10 in my fone which is working smoothely. The people who are facing some problems in their fone after updating in window 10, I want to give them some suggestions that they should update their fones again after first update. They should update their fones by window insider only which is good way to update in window 10. After update in window 10, again reset your fones right after the update. I hope, you will not have to face any problem after updating. Window 10 is more organized and smooth than window 8.

I don't hope you can use Jio Sim in this mobile... coz it doesn't support LTE . So Jio sim will not work without LTE adaptibility.

I used Lumia 540 for a year and even bought 535 for father. Honestly saying Lumia Hardware is the best in class and price. But unfortunately the software, specially "Windows 10" upgrade and Update were nightmare for me. First, they are very frequent. Second, they are very unpredictable and third, they made my 540 useless. I lost FM player, both the cameras are not working and even the ear speaker gone dead. Add to that lack of third party apps are real pain. Amazon killed its shopping app followed by EBay. So, finally I said good bye to the Lumias. Bought a On7 Pro for myself and A5 for my father. I strongly advice that if you have a Lumia, than please don't waste your valuable data and time on it. Just go ahead and buy any Android or Apple device. Trust me it is more wise and practical decision.
