This is a truly terrible phone, the apps cut off for no reason, the phone has a mind of its own and does what it wants when it wants. Be prepared to be taking out the battery often as the phone jam's up and it's the only way to get it to work again. The screen is very unresponsive, you have to hammer you finger off the screen in some parts to select a character or when clicking on a web page. Don't waste your money on this rubbish rubbish phone.

Hello all!
I just got Microsoft Lumia 550 4G Windows 10 mobile phone just a few days back and i had been using it without any problem :) However you gotta do some things first for the smooth working for this mob.phone: 1. update the phone softwares fully using a good Wi-Fi connection then 2. install all other essential softwares as you need by downloading them from the Store. Now you are there happy with your MS Lumia 550 working good for you. Happy :)

I was facing with battery problem. It was consuming @ 10% (approx.) battery even when not in use. (standby).
But after updaing with latest version it is working fine. Battery life is satisfactory now. Now it is taking 1-1.5% batery in standby mode.

When one considers that with the exception of the incorporation of the Continuum feature by Microsoft and a less powerful camera sensor and different build materials it is amazing to find that this device is very similar to the flagships (the 950 and 950xl). Running on Windows 10 is a remarkable bargain within this segment of the market for those looking for Microsoft productivity tools built into a mobile device. Now the device is likely to drop below the £100 €120 mark it is a good all rounder.

I've own this phone. I like it. It's powerfull and it's 5MPx camera is better than you think. The Windows 10 Mobile is worse than Windows Phone 8.1, cause it's a bit lagging and the 8.1 it's with prettier design. I know that cause I had Lumia 520 with 8.1 and if it was with the same specifications I would stay with it. Do you know how to change 10 to 8.1?

I had checked both lumia 540 and 550. and i found 540 touch is better. confuse between these two. which should i buy? dual sim or single sim doesnt make difference for me

Very good budget phone. Updating to through windows insider app build 105867.107 seems stable everything seems to work now. No hangs/restarts in lumia 550. I like the integration of skype,facebook and social apps in People/cantacts app. Skype and text messaging integration ic cool. Can use video call and chat skype in Messaging app. Windows 10 mobile is very cool i like its interface now much better than 8/8.1 semi transparent tiles and full transparency of tiles. Great display and good touch screen. Solid polycarbonate plastic is good quality. Until 2019 support for WM10 is good and long enough. Unlike my droid samsung note 2 cant get marshmallow.
