That my first Windows phone and i like it,i don"t use many apps so this isn"t problem for me,not a gamer as well,Win 10 works great,received 4 updates from June first and every time OS get better and better.I used Win 8 only one month so can"t compere it now with Win 10 but after update never looked back,sure it"s going to be even better.Windows control the phone? sure who don"t?,Google,Apple the same,they all make money on our personal information and advertisement,try to look for something in Google and offers will come from every seller just buy it.But one thing I will remember always,the price 60 USD for smart phone-with great call reception,smooth OS,no lag at all,I restart the phone only after update,good battery life,can store literally every thing on SD card,just love it.We all buy new phone in around 2 years,the cheep one,mid-range or flagship,but for me the lost is absolutely minimum of money.What I try to say,if You are not rich,can"t spend 500-1000$ for the phone get Lumia 640 and don"t look back,but don"t expect from this phone to work like phone 500$ value.

Totally blacks out at random times and all u said and more. Plus Windows completely controls your phone will not let u use rival apps in fact won't let u use anything not windows biggest rip off ever not wort $5 dollars and certainly not what I paid for it

Ok f... moreA very easy and intuitive phone to use which would actually suit someone who want to use a smartphone as a smartphone, rather than as a Gameboy. Porting information and settings etc. between your PC and phone is made incredibly easy and it runs the same software used by most companies, so is extremely versatile and useful without having to "make it work" with business applications.

The phone itself works great, very responsive and reliable. I've had it about nine months and have been very happy with it. But whatever you do, keep these on WP 8.1. WP 10 is a complete disaster, ruins your battery life and breaks several of what few useful apps are available for the platform. I tried it and ended up having to roll it back in less than a week because it more or less turned it into an unreliable dumbphone with poor battery life (I normally get 48-72 hours on a full charge depending on how much Web access I do, but it could run down in a day on 10.).

jenny, 23 Aug 2016After upgrading to the latest version of W10M you should do... moreI did reset my Lumia 640 and reinstall all the apps after the anniversary update, but Edge still totally sucks, crash constantly and restarts my phone! I never had this many problems before the anniversary update, and almost no problem at all when I was on Windows Phone 8.1!

The design isn`t poor, but remember the low price you gave. The call quality is superb, and it charges quite fast. I had mine for a year, and only let Down is the lack of call in Messenger..

Got the AT&T 640 go phone from BB for $25. Took a few days for AT&T to complete the unlock request. Hard to beat the price/feature of this phone. Everything seems to run pretty fluid. Big plus is the on board GPS and map storage, does not consume any data from my carrier. Photos are automatically uploaded to one drive.

I've never had more problems than I do with this Windows phone. I really want to get rid of this and go back to an android. Windows OS is awful. It change settings itself. Again I now have to have a pin number to receive my email. I didn't know I had to have one, it will leave an app I'm using and go back to the main screen. This phone will lag when using the browser. There are so many other things wrong with this phone there's just too much to write. I would never recommend this phone to anyone. Lumia 640 LTE
