    I just got a 640LTE and found it only had one SIM card slot.
    I see there is space for the second slot - can the second SIM card slot be added in?

      Tha safest way: install Upgrade Advisor
      The kamikaze way: install Windows Insider
      I prefer the first one

If your usb isn't recognized anymore, you can install on your PC the official "windows device recovery too" from the microsoft page. After starting the application on your PC, choose "my phone wasn't detected". After this, a window will appear, listing some mobile companies. Plug in your phone and wait so the software detects it and sugests you to install the last official software (meaning 8.1 for your device). Wait for the instalation to complete and don't disconnect your phone during this step.

              I have windows 10 preview insider slow ring 164. I reset my phone now USB not detecting It's showing "Malfunction" in every PC which i connected. What to do?

                Very nice phone, surprising what a good phone you can buy for 130 euro's.
                Camera is above expectation for that price, so is the software and general feel. I did immediately update to Windows 10 via the insider app. Very much worth the money I spend on it and for the moment there are no apps I am missing.

                  bmu2016, 21 Mar 2016Just Reset your mobile,problem will be solved.Did that. It's a little better but not like on 8.1. Scrolling pages in edge and in all other app's is still jerky, phone is lagging. Hope that future updates will somehow fix that.

                        Dont buy this phone you will have lots of problems and mallfuncions with this phones software.
                        apps will stop working and you will not be able to download them again
                        nokia was good but sinds microsoft, it is just sucks :(

                          For the folks that are having issues with Messaging and Notification & Action sounds. Here is something that might work without hard reset.

                          1. "Notification and actions" under "System"
                          I'm guessing my case is similar to everyone, the "Messaging" option is not to be found in the "Show notifications from these apps"

                          2. "Lock screen" under "Personalization"
                          2.1 My "Choose app to show detailed status" was set to "Whatsapp"
                          2.2 As always I've also chosen "Messaging" in the "Choose apps to show quick status"

                          3. "Messaging" under "Privacy"
                          Chosen option ON for "Let apps read or send messages (text or MMS)".

                          4. "Background apps" under "Privacy"
                          4.1 "Messaging + Skype" was disabled

                          Solving the issue
                          1. "Background apps" under "Privacy"
                          Turn ON the option

                          2. "Lock screen" under "Personalization"
                          Change "Choose app to show detailed status" from "Whatsapp" to "Messaging"

                          3. "Messaging" under "System"
                          Turn ON all option (Yes, I really meant ALL OPTION)

                          Then I've restart my phone and asked my wife to send me one short message through the SMS/Messaging app and I've heard the sweet sound of SMS/Messaging and what a beautiful site seeing the message on my phone lock screen. And finally the "Messaging" is shown in the "Notification and actions" (after restarting).

                          Then I reverting back a few setting after solving the issue and the SMS/Messaging notification still works

                          1. "Lock screen" under "Personalization"
                          I've changed it back to "Whatsapp"

                          2. "Messaging" under "System"
                          Disable all the options under the "SMS/MMS"

                          Hope this solution will work for you phone as well.

Better Off Ur Internet When Ur Charging Ur Phone And After Full Charge On Ur Internet .......... Otherwise U Have To Replace Ur Battery In Just 6 Month.

                                      I am using 640 from Dec 2015, suddenly today when I was reading some News website it started to make some motor running noise, i was shocked it may blow off, but lucky nothing happened. Suddenly i removed the case and removed battery. It smelled some short or burning smell. When I installed back battery it is working.
                                      still I am not convinced and worried about safety.

                                      Any suggestions or similar experience

                                        Lumia 640 lte very good mobile.it's amzing.good camera 8.1 and 10 very well. Dont buy another phone.join windows 8.1 and 10 mobile lumia.now windows mobile winnnig in the wold.
