Phone is ok, screen is nice, Internet Explorer stinks, speakers are ok, headphone output decent. Nice a slim higher end look. Camera takes real nice outside pictures and real crappy indoor pictures. At least in auto-mode. I'll be going back to android as Windows is just behind the curb in almost every category.

It’s (640XL LTE)a very decent and neatly designed phone. The OS 8.1.2 is very good and very fast. I switched from android to Windows phone, and its like a big promotion. No lagging at all. Touch is very good. Screen colours are very bright and good looking. Camera quality and the Lumia camera app is very good. I love it. People say that there’s app gap. But For me all my daily use apps are there. Overall it’s a very different experience as compared to android. One must try it. Waiting for Windows 10 now

Seriously thinking about buying 640xl. Only one thing stops me. As WP10 on lumia 630 I have trouble with opening web page in a new tab. Maybe it related it is not finished os yet, or lack of memory. Can you confirm if it happens in 640xl as well, please?

oldnayvi, 22 Dec 2015well I'm interested. I intend buying one in January and wa... moreFirst off, this is the second windows phone that I have owned for personal use. My last one was an htc that lasted a long time and originally sold me on the Windows phone OS. regarding the 640XL, I have had mine for over 3 months and I use it way more than the normal user. This has been a great device for me! I was hesitant to buy it at first because it seemed to be a lot of phone for the price. The screen is large, clear and sharp. The back is removable (a selling point for me) and the battery holds a charge for quite a long time. The processor and memory are sufficient for everything that I have thrown at it so far. The camera is better than I need. AV runs smooth, clear and loud. I know there are phones with the windows OS that are considered "better," but none give you so much for such a great price! I love mine!

I would like to add this about the Windows OS:
I am personally a huge fan of the windows mobile operating system. My wife recently decided to migrate to Windows Phone from Android. Having only ever used android, and not being very tech-aware, she was unaware that with windows phone she was going to have VERY LIMITED ACCESS to the array of google services that she has come to rely on, and no access to a few at all. If you are like most folks these days and rely on the google armada, you should expect migration to the windows mobile platform to be moderately difficult and frustrating. Almost all of the problems, and subsequent criticism, that new users experience derive from the app selection in the store, or lack thereof, and a lack of simple research. I suggest visiting https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps and taking a good look at what is available. That being said, if you don't mind using a web interface or third party work around "hack-ish" apps to access the majority of your google services, and you have the patience to stick out the process, you will end up loving the windows mobile UI. One thing to remember is that Windows (10) Mobile is ac imputer operating system, not a smart phone UI as you know it. With that comes a customizability that is unparalleled! The settings list is very extensive! My wife gets frustrated when something minor and annoying happens, such as her music turning off when she shuts off her screen. I just show her that the fix is in one of the many settings. This is a nearly-fully functional operating system engineered to work on a mobile device. Everything from visual esthetics to file allocation to even having a little "eraser" style mouse in the keyboard for in-text navigation, proves that this is not a cell phone but rather a step in the evolution of mobile computing. It is a far superior OS than anything that has come before it for the mobile world.

Also, having a PC that you are used to using at home or work that currently runs on Windows 10 will significantly aid your migration to Win 10 Mobile.

I apologize for my long windedness but it is important to me that users are fully educated before they make the decision. For the sake of the customer and Microsoft both

                                        I sincerely hope this helps
