    Hi All,
    I was Android User for years but there was always a love for windows phone(beautiful interface) in my heart though I didn't pushed me hard to get one for hands-on experience.

    Finally I made my mind for 640 XL and thought lets give a try. I must tell you initial few days I was struggling and confused on my decision as every navigation was making me feel interface on android was easy.

    I must tell you this is natural because I spent years on android interface and shift to new windows interface not easy, its human nature changes are not accepted easily :-)

    I can say slow and steady wins the race - Watched videos on you tube, joined windows central forum , trying hands on device made me feel my decision was good.

    On competitive edge , discussion on below points needed :
    - Windows need to stand and increase market share to at least 20 % plus.
    - How to increase market share.
    - Why we are launching lesser device compared to android phone.
    - Dont increase app base, how to improve existing ones.

    There is huge list in which I can contribute and discuss with relevant authorities from Microsoft if given a chance.

    Please do share views on my post.

You need to go to the document that you want to attach first then long press on the document to open share option, choose share then it will display your added email accounts the you can select the email account that you want to use. But if you attach any document from email account directly it wont work. I think this is the area that Microsoft need to work on!!!

        After my lengthy research I finally bought this baby!! And after 3 weeks of usage, I want to share my experience.
        1) Design,build quality&handling- I can say the design of 640xl is just simple and elegant,its such a pleasure using your 640xl in your hands despite being a large device its really light I was really amazed. You need to handle it to believe me! Build quality is really good it doesn't look like some cheap phone, the matte finnish is really good in handling
        2) Display- This is the part that at first reading about the display specs I was almost really turned away, but I took my chance and bought it anyway. Believe me guys after purchasing this device and went straight away to test its display,I was really surprised and happy by how the display was good.on paper the display can really be criticized, but in real life usage you will me amazed by it!! Viewing angles are on point,color saturation&reproduction on point,under Sunlight its just awesome! No noticeable pixels And watching your videos will just be astonishing!!
        3) Battery life- I wont even dwell on this one, what I can just say battery is the beast!
        4) For me I found the sound output to be really good, not to be compared with htc boom but its better than even some flagship!
        5) connectivity&call reception - Despite the 640xl dual which I have being a 3G version, network speeds were really good surfing the net was really fast, WiFi was good too I cant complain. Call reception was good too because no one complained of not getting me clearly and I never dropped any call.
        5) Gaming- I was really surprised how gaming was good on 640xl! Asphalt 8 airborne was really handle well by the phone there wasn't any noticeable frame drops and it played really smooth. Hill climbing&subway suffers were smooth too!
        6) performance - Lumia 640xl is not a tortoise!! Its really first in handling stuff and as you know windows OS is always smooth no lugs experienced at all! It handled anything I threw at it and by the way I have a class 10 64GB micro sd in my XL.
        7) conclusion - Lumia 640xl is a lovely device and a good value for money that you can not get in any other device at the same price point, so those guys who are still doubting to get this marvellous phone just got for it blindly!!!

          Please finally suggest me that with this phone do I need to order it's flip cover and tempered screen protector?

          Also I had a question that many are saying there are not alternative apps available on Windows platform unlike android. So please tell me names of commonly used android apps and their alternative to Windows

            Lumia 640 & 640 XL is the best phone in the market.I am using 640 XL last 4 month and it working perfectly no issues till date.Camera is fantastic actually unbeatable under 20K,Smooth performance Windows OS is highly optimized OS & will never lags.Battery backup is great.5.7" display is perfect for net surfing & gaming ,watching video is just amazing viewing angle is perfect.PPI is less but color production is natural.Sunlight redibility is awesome.Build quality is great never looks like a cheap.Touchscreen very responsive.All sensors are working perfectly.A must buy product.

                    i have a big problem with 640 xl i have moved some photos and music to other folder thn go to gallery nd i didn't find any pic after 12 hrs i got them wts tha matter

                      All three Lumia smartphones 950,950 XL & 550 announced as on 06 Oct.2015 seems like a thoughtful additions and a hopeful fresh start. The new Windows 10 shows massive potential and Microsoft has already proven it has the means to make it the game changer it should have been from the start. Hopefully everything plays well.

                        Existing Lumia phones will start getting Windows 10 in December

Still if you want 4G device then Microsoft launching L640 and L640 xl 4G(LTE) versions in India at the end of this month.. Microsoft announced this yesterday..

                          2- Yes 5.7 or 6 inch display is too big and known as phablets.. There are only limited users who prefer big size display phone.. I am using L730 which has 4.7" screen.. So its finally depends on your choice which screen size phone you can handle properly.. Decide it first otherwise L730 is also one of the best phone..

                          3- always prefer mette finishes colours.. I am currently using green L730 which is mette.. Order blue or white colour which are mette..

                          4- Before Lumia my primary mail account was also a Gmail account.. But now i created outlook account.. Now it is my primary account not because of Lumia or windows ecosystem.. Google is actually fraud and use and check your mails to show or send you advertisements n spam advertising mails.. Microsoft's outlook is very secure and you only receive trusted mails not spams..
                          You can still add your Gmail account in Outlook app here so you can use your Gmail account as primary account.. I have added 3 email accounts in my outlook mail.. One is outlook id and other two are Gmail ids.. You can receive all your mails like you receive on your android phone.. But to use Microsoft services and app store you need to compulsory create Outlook account. You can also use 3rd party Gmail apps like MetroMail, Maestro and 1Mail which are best now.. Metromail app is currently free for limited time so grab it..
                          About YouTube there are best 3rd party YouTube apps available in WP store from trusted developers.. Mytube, MetroTube and Perfect Tube these are best YouTube app and free of cost also.. You can download any YouTube video in any resolution and save it in your phone or SD card..
                          Also biggest rumour floating from yesterday that Today's Microsoft Windows 10 devices Google is officially launching their apps to W10 devices.. Means official Google apps like YouTube, Gmail, hangouts and others Google apps for w10m..
                          Event is starting 7:30 PM for india if you want to cover.. Microsoft launching More lumia phones today

                          5- if you are curious about damage then use screengaurd or tempered glass over screen.. It your choice.. BTW i am not using any protection on my L730..

                                1.Yes it's true 4G not available everywhere in India so it doesn't matter you can buy 640 XL dual sim 3G net is fast and no issues with net speed.Most of the time I am watching Movies in YouTube and believe me no buffering very fast net in 3G network.
                                2.640 XL is very good while surfing net and watching video.Display is brilliant believe me.Yes not easy with single hand but its a good size 5.7" is not too bulky.You will enjoy while using 640 XL.640 XL display is not good but great in Sunlight You are very comfortable while using 640 XL Bright light.640 XL display much Better than the 640.
                                3.I am not sure but hear White colour is good for matte finish.I am using Black and for my opinion Black or Orange will be better but its not a matte finish.
                                4.Sorry but Gmail is not as good as in Android phone similarly Hot mail is pathetic in Android.You can't use Gmail as primary mail id.
                                5.Yes 640 XL having Gorilla Glass.But I suggest you to use Tampered Glass for safety and there is no any problem.But make sure Tampered glass is perfectly overlays.Rear camera is close to the surface so please use good flip over Use original Mercury brand Flip Cover.Its a perfect Flip Cover for Lumia 640 XL and will perfectly fit and give complete protection including Camera also.
                                Lumia 640 & 640 XL is the great products.Microsoft did a great job to manufacture this device and there is no contradiction.Great value for money product 640 XL camera delivers a decent picks in light but at night noise level is visible but overall 640 XL camera is very good in this price segments 640 XL camera is unbeatable.640 XL having some benefit over 640 .640 XL having Good display,battery backup is slitly better in 640 XL,640 XL camera is much better than 640.Lumia 640 & 640 XL is the most popular Windows phone till date and its great performer in actual world of performance. You simply love while using Lumia 640 XL.

                                        I have been reading reviews about Lumia 640 xl since long and finally confirmed my purchase. But I have few questions to experts here, please feel free to answer these

                                        01. It shows 3.5 g. So should I wait for 4g or this is better. Of course I want faster Internet usage with less money. But confused as yet not even the 3g is available throughout the country.

                                        02. All my friends finally prefer 5 inch screen phone and all they are suggesting that 5.7 inch will be too much and very hard to handle. Here users are available who used this phone. Please reply me with your valuable feedback.

                                        03. Which color is better? I am asking with concerned to matte finish. Please suggest best color and tell if it has matte finish or not.

                                        04. I am mostly using Google services like YouTube, Gmail, etc and my primary mail id is Gmail. So do I need to shift everything to Hotmail or any Microsoft mail.

                                        05. I heard issues regarding gorilla glass and the weak body. Please suggest after purchase should I go for screen guard or not. And can I have rough usage with this phone.
