I have bought this phone on 1st March 2016, but have been facing some issue continuously
1. Charging - Its taking more than 6 hrs to charge full.
2. Its touch also doesn't detects the sense of hand sometime.
Please can anyone suggest how much should it take to charge?

Hello Friends,
I have just bought a new 640 XL and i am seeing two issues in it.
First - The voice over rear speaker of the phone crackles a bit in speakerphone mode during a call with volume set to more than 7. Here is a thread that talks about speaker crackling issue but mine does it more while using speakerphone. Need to know if this is an issue with all the phones.

Second - Glance screen in peek mode is not working properly. Sometimes when i hover my hand over the light sensor, glance screen does not work. I have to hover my hand longer and closer to the sensor for it to work. I have a high quality Nillkin tempered glass installed with precise cutout for the light sensor so, that shouldn't cause a any issue. Moreover, on my old lumia 920, i had a cheap screen guard installed over the light sensor but there was no problem whatsoever with glance screen in peek mode.

please do not purchase microsoft phones if you are planning to purchase a new phone.
i trusted this company due to a big name but this is worst...
i have microsoft lumia 640 xl lte ,purchased from microsoft store connaught place...
if i switch it off and then switch it on , it stops making calls,,,nobody can hear me and vice versa,,,,and every lumia 640 xl lte has same issue,,i tried three phones,,all have same issue.....
i purchased 2 applications when i was on windows 8.1 when i upgraded to windows 10 , both the applications disappeared from the store and microsoft said---those are third party applications,,,we cant assure you...
applications don't work properly in their phones..sometimes applications start opening and closing on their own......
if you try to purchase application from windows store ,,,,microsoft's website doesn't accept any card except credit card,,,,so you need to have a credit card mandatory,,,,however they have. both the options ,,credit card and debit card.....
application are also of poor quality....not like android or apple.......developers also dont support windows,,,,,,every good and a grade application you will find either on apple or android........
only plus point i can consider is - camera,,,,yes, it has a good camera
bye bye to microsoft andd windows phone,,,after the failure of nokia and blackberry,,,your number is 3rd

I've used this phone for a month now first with Windows 8 and then 10 it runs very smoothly and if you have 10 or 8 on your pc it synchronises for outlook and office etc. Exterior front camera shots are sharp and the battery life with heavy call and internet use is 48 hours.

its a cool phone and if we consider the app side its a little bit on the low side and install windows insider app for pre release benefits

I purchased Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual SIM ON oCT'2015 , till today I having very positive experience by using this smartphone. It's really performing very smarter.

dont buy microsoft not because the phone is not good but the store is very old applications. all application is bad not update if check it with other operating system you will find yourself 5 years behind. I bought 640 XL LET is a good phone but its like piece of wood without applications ...check it the microsoft store before go buying any microsoft mobile

I have had phone since June, andi love . A lot of phone for the bucks. Also works great on windows 10. Strange people do not buy more windows phones.

Waste of money.
I bought this phone at the time of launch, it has so many problem then I thought It will be ready when updating the os from 8.1 to windows 10. The real problem arise after the updating. Now its like a piece of a shit.
