The Lumia 640 XL LTE is one of the best phones I have had. Skype and social stuff all works fine, I do not know what others here are on about. Battery is amazing compared to other smartphones. The only complaint I would have is that the Facebook app needs an update as I like using the translate options. I can comment with an open mind as I am a phone freak and love the smartphones. I love apple and android and would most likely use apple more if battery lasted a lot longer and that also goes for Samsung.
Another gripe I have with a lot of expensive phones like apple and Samsung is the high end cost and not being waterproof? In this day and age and the expense of these phones they should be waterproof. I know the Xperia is waterproof and same as Samsung active however the popular high end phones from the other two should be better protected.
Microsoft should also look at waterproofing as any smartphone is a big investment, that's my say.

Danyyyy, 13 Aug 2015But why what is reason that window phone cannot support vid... morewindow phone do support sktpt call or webcam and any messenging app of sosial app. i'm using L640 n skypt do ok without any trouble.

I need some help, I am planning to buy a WP but cannot decide between L640XL, L830 and L730, which one is Better? Also I want to know if it is comftable to use the L640XL due to it´s size. Thank you.

Hello I have issue with email today when I bought the phone Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE I assigned with my gmail account. Late on I by mistake try to change name of account till then mail icon dissapeard and when I enter to my account I can see it but it is with gray letters showing Synchronizing status and I can do anything nor delete it nor enter on it. What to do please assist?????

windows 8 can run every android app just search about it on youtube and this is upgradable to win 10 which can run all ios and apk apps

Have been looking here (and elsewhere) for my next phone (coming from an HTC Mini). Finally got the Lumia 640 XL and a 128 Gb Lexar Micro SD Card.
All I can say is... Brilliant. For what I need it worked out BY FAR the most value for money (more so than I could have hoped for).
I have spoken to a guy at work who was anti Windows from a few years ago. Showed him mine and he bought one the next day and loves it.

Removable Battery (ability to have a swappable spare if needed).
