Those who fade up with Android laginess and battery draining problem and iPhone is too costly.The best option to buy Lumia 640 or 640 XL. It's a value for the money package.Best phone at very resonanable price range.

All the above opinion is right .......................but some thing else is else there.........the flash is not so good as compared to samsung in night

I'm bored of some android samsung phones. I want something new, i wanna try iphone but my dad has it and it kinda seems boring. So i'm planning to buy this, idk this phone seems new and not like another in the stores, and it seems to suit me. I wanna know anyone's opinions who have this phone, so please reply :)

I'm using lumia 640xl its amazing Phone some people complaining about camera result but its camera result is really good. There are 2 types of camera 1st is Microsoft Camera 2nd is Lumia Camera. Go to Setting>Photo and camera> Chose Microsoft Camera then go to main screen by pressing window key slide down the menu and click on camera then you will see different camera interface and its result is much much better then lumia camera.. try this

Maybe it depends on the Simcard you have.... I don't know, but I've got a choice and I use 4g for my prepaid Hungarian Telenor Sim and 3g for my UK virgin SIM, and they work great!

Hi, I have a 640 XL LTE/4G Dual Sim Black 8GB RM-1096. I've noticed many people complaining about the camera of the 640 XL, but it's a great camera for a phone in this price range. One recurring problem I've found online is people saying the camera doesn't work and displays a notification that "Whoops, Something went wrong", or similar. You have to have the microphone in App Permissions under settings set to "ON" for the camera That solved it for me, and pretty much everyone else.
Another thing I discovered through trial and error is that if you have the Flashlight XT app installed it wont work while the charger is plugged in.
My one and only issue (so far) with tho phone is that ever since the Denim update (or perhaps even earlier), you can no longer store Lumia Maps on your SD card. It's easy to fill up the phone's memory with a couple of offline maps - USA alone is over 4GB! I think when you initially start the phone when you purchase it you can choose, but after that it's impossible without a hard reset. I think I must have chosen to use the phone storage initially. Anyway, you can transfer your apps, photos, videos, etc to the SD card using Storage Sense, but the old Lumia Storage Check app (with which you used to be able to choose where your maps are stored) is no longer available (for some bizarre and frustrating reason).
So if ANYONE can find a way of transferring maps from the phone's storage to the SD card, I'd live to hear it! Otherwise this is the best phone I've ever had, and if you don't mind having only 13mp as opposed to the 20mp camera of the upcoming 950 XL, and you can live with 720p photos instead of 1080, (videos are 1080p) and you can make do with a Clear Black display rather than AMOLED, and you dont care that the processor is a Snapdragon 400 instead of 810 or whatever, then this phone is perfect, and you'll save a couple of hundred bucks too.

jerry, 08 Nov 2015camera is worstJerry use the phones camera, upload on a pc and then comment with complete info, not fair to comment on something or someone without proper info, The Camera of 640XL is really good, Additionally, you can get more camera functionality via Lenses, such as Cinemagraph (animated photos), Panorama, Refocus, Selfie, etc and it offers white balance, focus, ISO, shutter speed up to 4s and exposure settings. Look into details specs, use it and then comment.

AnonD-463301, 06 Nov 2015I'm using this phone for one month now and am extremely sat... moreM Lumia 640 XL LTE- Availiable in Bangalore, bought this phone recently and its amazing, Touchscreen interface, cam, battery is very good, Defnetly value for money, comparing the OS of diff phones is not fair enough, everything has its own specific usage which depends on the user. we can only know the actual difference (be its advantages or disadvantages) only after using it. Finaly conclusion- switching to Lumia 640XL (WP) from andriod was a good decision.
