I would like to share my experience wiht Lumia 950 after two weeks including some "issues" - maybe you find it helpful.
I considered to buy an android phone, but after bad experience I gave a chance to Lumia 950. Windows 10 runs smoothly, display is perfect, however there was mentioned some issues.
It gets hot during use
It is matter of settings. I disabled all applications (except Messaging and some others) to run in background and it really helps. Phone is getting hot, but after 10 minutes and more of browisng. But notthing you can't bear.
Unable to connect wi-fi
I experience this, however maybe it is issue with battery saver. When I turned off battery saver, almost immediately I connect to wi-fi.
Often restarts
Only once - supposed Edge browser has a problem with page display and phone restarted.
Lack of applications
Yes, this can be frustrating. However, there is always free application you need but you can choose only from one or two available (on Android you have tens of alternatives). Some apps are not available and you have to use web version.
Overall opinion - great phone, price is now more fair (you can get it for under 300 E), runs smoothly, no problem with contact transfer from android, and also camera is great.

Skype will only support Windows 10 Mobile and will drop support for Windows Phone 8.1 and 8 starting October 2016.Its a worst Microsoft dutch it's own software for it's own plaform.Windows 8.1 is not as old to Retire apps support it's so pathetic Microsoft that why Windows phone market share is in that position.You are really not serious about your Mobile segments.

user, 21 Jul 2016android phone is your home property ?.I am telling you the truth.You don't know anything about Smartphone Platform it's Life cycle.Except "REMEMBER !!!!!, android OS new (free) update getting in google NEXUS phones only , not any other brand of phones. (other brand of phones are cheating to the people in OS updating)"But listen All Nexus devices also have some life spam after certain period of time No update available for older Nexus devices.Acording to you 1st Nesus still getting current Android update how funny.It seams that you are drunk,1st educate yourself before committing over any other.

[deleted post]No it's not true Nexus devices will get three year minimum update,and what about Moto devices,Samsung Note Series,Android One,One Plus One,Samsung Galaxy Series,HTC One 8 (2014),HTC One 9 (2015),Sony Experia Z Series.These all series at present Running with Current Android version M Update and most of them will get N update also.Moto G (2013) start with Andrid Jellybean now it's running over L update it's a last update for Moto G (2013).Please don't spread rumors.Firstly update your self then weight your reviews.

I don't know why but every time they left most of their most of previous smartphones. Earlier they released new 7.1 phone. After six month they released 8.0 and told that no win7 phone can be upgradable to 8.0. Then released 7.5 by adding some features of 8. Now they left 8.1. After some month they are going to leave win10.

If you ask me to why then Microsoft os releasing updates? At the time of releasing win10 to other hardware manufacturers, they sign a contract to support them for a definite time. Once that time end they can go on their way.

Shashwat.newk1995, 17 Jul 2016Yes, like what they did with windows 8.1, windows 7.5 and o... moreIf it's true then it will be more interesting to see.Intel in Microsoft devices.But Satya Nadal accepted that Windows phone is bad if we are looking for the apps but for business user Windows Platform is much secure than any other OS.I am also had Lumia devices but it's a good phone.But after upgrading to Windows 10 it lost it charm,Windows 10 full of bugs and earlier version 8.1 is stop getting update it's so embarrassing that's why I sold my Lumia 640 XL due to its estabilit issues.But one thing I want to know Microsoft is very serious about Windows 10 OS and new apps like Facebook,Facebook Messenger,Instagram for Windows 10 is much improved just like IOS.If Microsoft is not serious about Windows 10 then why they improving it .

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2016Friends, I used lumia 730 about 1.5 years and my experience... moreNo don't go for the Window phone.I also had 640 XL and it performs brilliantly.But now I switch to Android Moto G 4 Plus.Windows 10 still have many bugs and will take much time to fix all these bugs may be in next year 2017.But at present Windows is not a good platform don't invest money over it.Better to stay with Android.
