YUKI93, 17 Jan 2020You want to throw away just because of WhatsApp? I wouldn't... moreWoA on the Lumia 950 is slow. It's usable but it's slow and most people will mess up their phone trying to install it. However it has one huge benefit - it can run Win32 programs which no other phone can do (except the lumia 950 XL with WoA)

Either I can go for other, better alternatives such as Telegram... or use the 950 for LumiaWoA project, which is basically installing Windows 10 ARM PC OS onto the phone. If you still need WhatsApp, there are bucket loads of Android and iOS phones out there.

It's so disappointed that either is WhatsApp discontinued supporting or Windows discontinuing WhatsApp communication app. Now, the whole phone can throw away ...

I'll still keep on using it despite the fact that Microsoft no longer officially supports it. It really is a breath of fresh air after I had left the Android bandwagon. Now I see no reason to go back to it other than mobile entertainment purposes.

Emporius, 08 Nov 2019Till this day no phone got this ~564 ppi density...enough saidActually there is. You may wanna check Sony Xperia phones, the 5.8" XZ2 Premium has 765 ppi because of its proper 4K screen. The Z5 Premium before it also has proper 4K screen at 5.5", which resulted in 806 ppi.
Any phone that uses QHD screen at 5" and above can easily get around the same ppi as this Lumia: https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?fDisplayInchesMin=5&nDisplayDensityMin=550&nOrder=3

Was comparing specs of the Samsung 10e and IPhone XR, my Lumia 950 beats both of them in most areas except the main processor!! Better camera, better screen, better lenses, -----.
Really unfortunate that Microsoft abandoned their mobile OS, and their loyal customers.

After years of loyal service, I have to let you go. I regret to say goodbye to my Lumia 950. Hopefully I find the same smooth user experience on ... a Samsung A50 android. Best of luck to you... and to me too

Using phone today. Moved from Nokia 5 to Lumia 950. And i love it. It has not much app, but for me it's ok. Youtube, facebook, gmail is working. Camera is great. Memory and storage also good. Nice fact that you can change phone battery by yourself. Gonna us phone as much as i can.

I loved Windows phones. my first one was the Samsung SCH-i600 back in 2004; beautiful phone. after that one more Samsung and HTC window phones. Unfortunately for Windows the Apple and Android era came very aggressive. Apple (fancy) became huge and Android was ok. windows didn't develop apps and lost the competition. Even though my last windows phone was the Lumia 950. very nice phone with no apps and no battery. Yup, the battery didn't last 4 Hrs and for a working phone its was the worst. I am super happy with my Pixel 3, waiting for the 4.

I agree, with the comments praising Windows phone. I had a Windows 6 and then 8 and 8.1.
The experience of use was so much better than Android and iOS which I now use. The reason I moved to iPhone was an app I rely on daily was no longer updated for Windows phone and there is no equivalent on Windows mobile platform. I also agree that if MS had gone ahead with the running of Android apps I would not have changed. Download on Android and Apple and it can be very difficult to find the files. Win 10? Download Folder. I would like it not to RIP but to be resurrected with Android or iOS app compatability.
