But I am also a consumer who is welling to pay 650+ USD for a "flagship" phone, and I want to get what I was promised. the camera of the phone is not as advertised (it might be just the unit I bought). all what I said is true, and it is from my personal experience. please see this video.

This is the most stable, fluent and reliable configuration so far. Please ensure that you are at this stage and see if you are having problems still.

Ok, so I will educate all you windows users. The lumia 950XL is NOT a problem phone. It does NOT overheat to fry eggs on it and the battery does NOT last 2-3 hours. With light use your phone should be at 85% at 6:00pm. Now, I am 2 weeks into using my 950XL, only had two restarts and everything is stable, no crashes. Maybe because I know how to handle a windows phone? Not sure. First off, the instant you get your phone, you turn it on and look for updates after you set it up (entering your Microsoft account/email). Make sure all apps are up to date BEFORE you look for phone updates. This prevents the phone from crashing with too many updates trying to be installed and downloaded at once. After everything is up to date you will be fine. Now, if there are problems, it could be dependent on the model....report your issue to Microsoft. Let them know. I am using the single sim variant and I have NO ISSUES WHAT SO EVER!!!!!! I have had three updates for my device since I got it......wow three updates in under two weeks. Two of which are mentioned on this site and another which I can't find anywhere and is sort of anonymous since I have no idea what changed and it was done while I was asleep. Don't hate something that is evolving. Of all the lumias I have had the pleasure of using, this one (950XL) is the best so far.

Disadvantages of windows phones :
> You cannot take the offline backup of all installed apps into the memory card (just like the app backup and restore in android).
> You cannot download the setup file of any app (like apk file for android phones can be downloaded from anywhere).
> You cannot create sub folders in the apps list area to group them.
Waiting for Symbian OS to be launched by Nokia again with more features.

Excellent phone. Have all the practical features for a top flagship.
One thing I do not understand. Why it is so expensive. Are not all the phones made in China?
If Microsoft want to capture more of the market and establish themselves as top smartphone company, they must attract the normal customers not only the rich people. I wish I can have this phone, but I can not afford it.

The best smartphone I ever have used, previously I used iphone 6 plus, galaxy s5 etc. Best camera, iris scanner, screen res. Powerful OS when compared to android and ios (not in the sense of app). Am addicted to the lumia 950 phone actually.

Purchased 32 Gb Memory Card Class 10............... Now My 90% Applications With Games In Memory Card............... In Android U Can Download Application To Memory Card (Only U Can Movie For Some Applications Not All).................. But In Windows Ur Movies, Ur Games, Ur Whatsapp Pics, Camera Pics, Ur Download Pics, Ur Saved Pics From Browser or Application, Applications And Nearly 95% All Data U Can Store In Memory Card Which Is Not Possible In Android............ I Used Both Android And Windows Phones But Now Windows Open And Android Have Restrictions :)

I don't give much care on "mails".. But the things u commented about the 20mp cam is wrong..totally wrong.. U r a troller in pure form.

I use 950XLfor 2 weeks now and rather disappointed compared to Lumia 930 I had before.
The phone is slower there are frequent hang ups, the battery endurance is a joke (2-3hrs) and you can fry eggs on the back of the phone when in use. I wonder how long the components will survive this heat exposure.
Can anyone please advise why these issues are happening?

Then theres Acer Liquid C1. Oh talking about Acer, it's main rival(in my country) the AsusTek Corp releases the Zenfone Series with Intel's chipset. By the fact that Samsung is also using the Intel Atom inside their Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 but I guess thats not included because it's considered as a tablet. If I'm not mistaken Dell also use Intel but I have no idea which model is using it.

Microsoft has the talent to ruin their own product, remember that they released Windows Millennium after 98/95, Vista after XP, and Windows 8 after Windows 7. They did the same stupid move again; they released Windows Mobile 10 after 8.1.
I have been using Lumia 920 since December 2012, it is an AMAZING phone with a beautiful operating system (especially after the latest 8.1 updates). Unfortunately, it became annoyingly slow – especially after the updates. So I needed a new phone but I want to continue the beautiful Windows Phone experience, so I bought the Lumia 950 XL, and it was a big mistake.
The least you can say about Windows Mobile 10 is that it is a stupid product. It is not the bugs, but the good things they removed and the stupid things they added (or as they said “enhanced”). For example, I connect to multiple emails: Hotmail, Live, Gmail, and my business email. When you receive an email in Windows 8.1, the notification center tells you that you received an email in this inbox (Gmail for example). Unfortunately, in Windows 10 the notification center just says “Outlook Mail”. You don’t know this email you received is in which inbox. This might not be important to some users, but I am sure it is very important to many, including me. This is just one thing I mentioned in the OS, you will see many annoying things if you use it as your main phone.
One of the things that made me buy this phone is what I read about its great camera. But when I used it, it is really bad. It is a camera they borrowed from a 2000 model. It is not good at all. It has pixilated photos, and wavy videos. I am very, very disappointed. And frankly I don’t advice any one to purchase this phone.
One more thing, did you try Bing Sport and MS Official Facebook App on Windows Mobile 10? Microsoft is a software company, so how on earth they release such applications for their own OS/Hardware? To know the difference, just use them on Windows 10 Mobile and on Windows 8.1 Mobile and see the difference.
I am a big fan of Windows OS in general. I started using Windows Mobile in 2004, but this Windows 10 and Lumia 950 XL was a really bad choice. I should have waited until the next phone.

They should've used an intel processor with this and launched a 64gb and 128gb version. Then, they could've thrown in the dock and wireless charger out of the box for free and kept the price at the same range. That would've killed it.

Your friend might have not upgraded his whatsapp apps for months so it did not support the voice call. I have been using whatsapp voice calling for months in my lumia 532 and 830.
