Montblanc Summit 3 unveiled: a €1,250 Wear OS 3.0 smartwatch
Four years later, the successor to the Montblanc Summit 2 has been unveiled – the maker of luxury pens and watches does not rush. Anyway, the most interesting thing about the new model is that it is the first Google Wear OS 3.0 watch that hasn’t been skinned by Samsung’s One UI. Sorry, Pixel Watch, you had your chance.
As always, the Montblanc timepiece focuses on luxury. In fact, the company didn’t announce many technical details. All we know for certain so far is that the watch is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chipset.
The Montblanc Summit 3 features improved exercise and sleep tracking
Health and exercise tracking has been improved. The watch features a blood oxygen sensor and sleep tracking (including tracking the different phases of sleep). The new model has better battery life, but it is not clear how much better (the Summit 2 could last a day in smartwatch mode, 4-5 days in time only mode).
The case of the watch is made out of titanium and you get a choice of a leather or a rubber strap. The gray case comes with a black calf leather or a blue rubber strap. For the black case the options are a black calf leather or a black rubber strap. Finally, there is a bi-color case option, which can be paired with either a British green calf leather or a black rubber strap.
Montblanc Summit 3 color combos
The Montblanc Summit 3 will become available on July 15 and it will cost €1,250. That’s pricier than the previous model, which launched at $1,095 (looking at the model with a titanium case).
