They took their time till they came up with the new one, why didn't they wait till next year and use the newer 5100? It's irritating to buy a watch for a high price with outdated tech (which wasn't that good to begin with), and at the end of the day this is a smart watch not a Regular Watch that doesn't go out of date!

I have the Summit 2, that is not a "cheap" watch but a great one. I guess you never held one in your hands, but thanks for the uneducated remark. If you want a 100$ watch, go find one on wish.com or alibaba.

What makes this watch that expensive? The montblanc name on a laughably cheap 100$ watch?

Kriegsherr, 23 Jun 2022True. If I buy an expensive watch, it would be analog for sure. There is actually a luxury watch that does something clever: It has all these bells and whistles but, instead of displaying stats on the watch, it displays them on the phone. This means that it can hold a charge for many days... in fact, I don't recall it need it to be charged (according to the reviewer).
Unfortunate, I cannot find the video anymore so I'm looking hard :)

Ask any luxury-minded people, and they never mix it with electronics. If they want luxury, they'd buy an expensive watch that last, not a smartwatch that needs to charge every single day.

AnonD-1033007, 22 Jun 2022Who needs this? Especially at 1250€ 😐For some, a watch is just a luxury timepiece. If you can combine it with the obvious appeal of smartwatch tech then for a select few it's a win win. You don't have to sell a lot of something if it's expensive enough, and rich people are always looking for new ways to spend their money.

Smartwatches are disposable technology, waste of money since this will become useless in a few years, just get a nice automatic watch or a cheap smartwatch

Based on the photos, it looks too generic and cheap.

I understand their mechanical watches costing a lot, but slaping Montblanc on some generic electronics and making it this expensive is a bit much... Titanium and leather or not...
