More vivo X Fold2 specs confirmed - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 120W charging

The vivo X Fold2 is expected this month, and presentation slides, likely designated for salespeople, leaked online. The key features listed in the photos were already revealed through previous leaks, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and the 120W charging.

The internal E6 AMOLED screen of the vivo X Fold2 will measure 8.03”, support 120Hz refresh rate and offer a resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels. According to vivo, the brightness will reach 1800 nits, which is extremely high, even if this number likely refers to peak brightness.

The cover screen will have another E6 panel by Samsung, but the diagonal is 6.53” and it will have a tall aspect and 1080p resolution. Refresh rate will be 120Hz once again. We already know that both panels will have a fingerprint scanner underneath for the first time in the world of foldables.

The Qualcomm chipset will have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, although there is no info on the actual memory combinations. The new chipset is said to have a 35% faster CPU, and 25% better GPU and will be Wi-Fi 7-ready. The smartphone will also come with the vivo V2 ISP.

The capacity of the vivo X Fold2's battery will be 4,800 mAh with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support. This is an incredible achievement because both the capacity and charging speed are an improvement over the previous generation and yet vivo says the new foldable will be 10% lighter thanks to an updated hinge.
