Well, I had no problems that anybody has stated with this phone up until today. I have had the phone since November, and today it decided not to turn on which makes me think that it is the battery, other than that its a good buy.

Good price for a pocket pc,but looks cheap,I think it's made in china and some softs are not in english ?!
It's terrible if the screen freezes every 5 min. and SD memory dies!
Camera doesn't look great and no flash,we can also find some more pixels with this price.
What about call quality and signal ?!

I am sorry you guys have had difficulties, though I have not had any problems with mine (purchased in Hydrabad). Doesn't hang or freeze up at all. I only need to charge it every two days, so battery seems strong as well.
Of course, wireless phones are getting closer to being computers everyday. That being said, it is not unusual for any Mobile phone to freeze up on occasion.
Just my two cents worth.

This phone is a mess. I tried to change GPRS settings but does not save the changes done. It keeps the old settings as is. MPT is also a mees. I can not transfer files from my PC to this phone. I searched on the net. Everybody is facing this problem but not solution. Motorola support site is also not having any updates. See below the problem list
microSD card not working. Service center has not yet given me the new card
MPT not working
GPRS not working

This phone is like a beautiful but dumb blond.Looks good but crap otherwise.
This phone is for the nerdy geeks out there.
Not for people with a fast life. Every time you wanna do something you have to take out the stupid little stick and start poking at the screen and then wait forever for the phone to react.
Anyway, smart phones are for dumb people and smart people do not need smart phones

I purchased this Motorola A1200 Just 2 weeks back in Bangalore, i fed up of this phone. Don't buy this.
This phone has touch screen problem, every 5 min it going to be hang, we have to switch off the phone to restart the phone.
*Battery is also poor, without using more we have to recharge this phone daily twice.
*motorola service is very poor, they take 2 or 3 weeks for fix the phone problem.
*I heard that while servicing they replace the original (New)components to the old one.

Ok, i have always had an aversion towards motorola phones till i bought the A1200 (MotoMING) :-) and thank god i did..
Pros:
1. Very stable OS (surprisingly fast too)
2. Stylish looks, solid build, light and compact
3. nice 2.4" TFT 256K display
4. Preloaded useful applications (no messenger tho)
5. Strong signal reception, good call quality
6. value for your money
Cons:
1. 3rd party software hard to find (although http://www.motorolafans.com has a very nice collection)
2. Speaker volume is slightly low (but it has been fixed in newer firmware and can also be fixed easily with a simple application)
I have been using this phone for over 2 months now and it has NEVER given me any problems. I would seriously recommend this phone to all who want a powerful, feature packed cellphone that is sure make you the centre of attention and also does not burn a hole in your pocket.. Good job motorola!!

microSD card that comes with this phone does not work. Make sure you check this card at the time of purchase and get a new card.

i was using a A925 earlier a much bulkier version of the A1200.There is one thing to say a lot has been upgraded.... lot of brains have been put into this small gadget..thats wht i wld call it,,battry surprisingly is not bad at all wld last u for one whole day.the phone is more focused on the style and futuristic softwares than on needs. The worst part on a motorola PDA is it hangs without a reason , will not take much of load if you want to work on heavy files ..net on phone is poor.to sum it up its a delicate plastic toy nothing as sturdy as a NOKIA.have used for just one day and the phone is complety dead.
